Got my Platinum Series Protogen and Scream today from bb.com. Going to try them tomorrow.

Question: Is using 2 scoops of protein a waste? Someone once told me that more than 25g (or something like that) was just pissed out because your body doesn't use it. I still make my breakfast with 2 scoops. What do you broteins do?

On the topic, I recently found out there are at least 14 wineries in my little pocket of WA alone. We visited one close by over the weekend. First timers, but we decided we might as well try to take in some of the wine culture since it is so abundant in this part of the country.

Don't forget about the breweries. Imo, this should be a destination for the likes of TAAB.

Once you get east of the Cascades there is a lot more sunshine for both WA and Oregon, but again, there is wider variation with temps. A lot of people probably don't know that a good chunk of Oregon is either desert or high desert.

Correct... Having grown up east of the cascades I can vouche for it being a little better than "high desert", but certainly you get a great set of seasons. I'm at full vestment in the spring and might make the leap back over the hills.

The trade-off is that the temperatures, while generally cool, remain fairly mild for most of the year with little in the way of extremes. We arrived in early August and enjoyed a fantastic summer with low humidity.

I have been wondering about places like Boise, ID. Apparently, there's a lot of sunshine and even though there are 4 true seasons, there's not that much snow. It would be nice to be a lot closer to Colorado and Utah, since we tend to do a lot of trips to that area. I'd have to imagine that property would be relatively easy to afford (unlike CO).

I have been wondering about places like Boise, ID. Apparently, there's a lot of sunshine and even though there are 4 true seasons, there's not that much snow. That's actually where I'm looking at headed to. It's a little dry there but... Boise is a town that's a well kept secret for a ton of out of state transplants. You've got everything within range. It's big enough but not that big. Actually the entire state of Idaho has really changed culturally in the past 10-15 years. You get transplants coming there for the cost of living and beauty really outpacing the pockets of ignorant redneck hick families that came up from the south during the depression era. It's a business friendly environment and the entire population is like 1.5 mil... love it.

Seems like a good choice, though I've never actually been there. I may take a scouting trip out that way since we tend to go out west most summers anyway.

Like you say, enough population so that you're not necessarily driving 2 hours to the nearest Home Depot or whatever, but sparse enough that you can get some property and not have to commute in a ton of traffic. More population also = more stupid laws, fees, taxes, and general *******ry, which is kind of destroying the west coast.
