I am supposed to take a phase 1 picture today but I will not. Due to my period, I gained about 5 pounds of water wt(hoping it is just water) and don't feel I am progressed any. I will take pic and measure next week.
My back is still hurting and I am afraid to do anything using my back. I was thinking when the pain started and it was beginning of the P90X program. I definitely messed up on some lift form and I didn't know it. It is getting worse and I don't know whether I should stop the program or not. Meanwhile, I purchased the treadmill and have been using it for 3 days so far. I have a 10K in October and will train for it. I ran 5K program on the treadmill and I can't believe how hard it was. I ran 5K under 30 minutes before on the race and now, I ran around 48 minutes on the treadmill. I haven't run often and it shows on my pace. I got a lot of work to do if I want to run 10K in 60min.
Overnight, it snowed and it is all white outside. I couldn't walk my dog outside. She is running in backyard and having fun. I jogged/walked 5 miles this morning.
I am going to grocery shopping soon. DH wants turkey for dinner. Need to find a healthy side dish.

hi Mindy! Hope you welcome another supporter! I just started reading through this thread. I'm going to subscribe to it As far as I have read I can tell you everyone does have bad days. If it wasn't for the bad days, we wouldn't know what a really good day for us is.

Gilri have been having some back problems too. My lower right. I know it is from bad form on my deadlifts . I have just started training for a 10k in April. What kind of treadmill did you buy. I got one a few months ago and love/hate it. But it is good for those bad weather days.

My back pain is lower right also. Are you right-handed? My right hand is much stronger than my left and I think I tried too hard to lift higher when I was doing bend over tricep lifts...it is my guess. But who know what I did wrong.
I went to Dick's to try on Sole F85 and Precor and ended up buying Livestrong LS 13.0T. So far, I like it. It is quite and sturdy. It goes up to 12 mph and I don't plan on running that fast. In one second, I will be flying out of it and end up in the back wall. haha, right now, I can run 6 mph for 10 min straight. I will get better. I just wish spending all this much $$ helps me to lose some unwanted fat.
Ran 5 miles this morning. Today is 1st day of P90X phase 2. Hope I can see some progress on this phase.

5 miles is a great run! We have a TM too but I just walk on it. No more running for me, it caught up to me with a tear in my left meniscus. I used to love it though. Diet (food) is 80% of the lose weight equation. Took me a loooong time to get that. I spent countless hours of cardio going nowhere til I really dialed in my diet and weight lifting. That was the magic combination.

Day 29 of P90X
I didn't do Chest, Shoulders and Triceps yesterday but just finished it. I feel good to lift again. That one week rest was good but I missed lifting wt.
So, today I did Plyometrics in the morning and upper body in the afternoon. I walked my dog 1.5M. Everything is back to normal schedule. Even the weather is nice...mid 40's w/ SUNSHINE :-) I wanted to run outside but I will do cardio tomorrow. Don't want to push too hard. I do too much cardio and it makes me hungry.
Everything in moderation.2018 Oct/Nov/Dec Fat Loss and Motivation

I am soar all over today from Chest, Shoulders & Tri and Plyometrics. Upper body is not too bad but I feel my glute and thigh the most. It makes me feel as if I have buns of steel and bodybuilder's quad. LOL
Now, question is should I do 'back & bi' today according to schedule even though I worked on upper body(which used back & bicep somehow) yesterday? What do you think?

I am following P90X. This week is my 1st week of phase 2 and the schedule is
M: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps
T: Plyometrics
W: Back & Biceps
Th: Yoga X
F: Legs & Back
S: Kenpo
Sun: rest or stretch
But this Monday I didn't do C, S & Tri so, I did that and Plyo on Tuesday. Last night, I ended up doing Back & Biceps. I was so tired. I only burned 220 calories and I felt I lifted a mountain. Need to get stronger!

Potato chips
Since Christmas, I haven't had potato chips. That is my 2nd favorite snack after Ice cream. Well, my DH was craving(? idk, he likes tortilla chip) it and I had a big grin in my face when he said "Let's buy potato chip!" Regret!!! I never wanted to eat potato chip again. I knew it was greasy but I never felt it was so greasy I couldn't imagine myself eating that junk. I don't usually eat fried food and I crave fried food around my period. Therefore, I end up buying a bag of potato chip right before my period every time. Last time I had TOM, I didn't eat any because trying to be good as I promised myself to lose fat for NYR. Now I wasn't craving it because it's not the time yet and the taste is awful. I hope this thought stays forever :-)

I can't stand regular chips anymore, but I don't mind the baked lays They are pretty tasty and there is no grease and really they aren't TOO bad calorie wise. Sometimes you just need a couple.
Funny how your old favorite foods, don't taste so good now huh?Current Log:

New week, new day :-)
Did speed intervals on the treadmill, total 2.6 miles
since I bought the treadmill and have been running, my bottom of feet hurt. Maybe I am running too much. I cut down to half of what I normally run today. See how it feels.
Tonight I will be doing Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Saturday I went shopping and tried the summer sleeveless dress on. I looked at the mirror and was impressed with my shoulder/arm definition. So I bought the dress. This led me to keep lifting wt. Happy wt. Lifter!

Ahhh, summer clothes! Yeah for buying something to to motivate, that always helps. Having rockin arms helps too!
Here is my dilemma trying on clothes:
a) must have button down shirt so pulling clothes overhead does not mess up hair
b) slip on shoes so I don't have to tie and untie shoes
If either of these criteria is not met, I don't try things onJulia

Crying helps burn calories
I am scheduled to do Yoga X today. But I felt I needed to run this morning due to huge amount of salty foods and lots of carb load from yesterday. I ran 5 miles no problem and got on the elliptical for just cool-down (thinking just 15 min). Turned DVR and watched 'My 600 lbs life-Melissa's story(TLC)'. I was so into it, and I didn't know I was 'exercising'. I remember when I was over 200 pounds a long time ago, and sympathized her with being obese and going thru surgeries, losing a baby and having a baby and cheating by her husband. I cried so hard. I wasn't that big or had surgery to remove my fat but having no baby myself, I cried my eyes out when she had to go surgery to end a pregnancy. Luckily, she got pregnant again and has a daughter now. With all this and other issues, I was thinking about my life and I was on elliptical for over 80 minutes. The end result is I burned over 1300 calories. I couldn't believe myself. All the water weight is gone and I am focusing myself to be happy. I need to love myself first to love others.

Great workout Min!
I watched that last night too. Part of me felt sorry for her, and another part just couldn't grasp it. I'm not a small person, I'm not proud of it either, it's my own fault and I know that. I just don't understand how people can let themselves get that big. In the end I was really proud of her and everything she worked through and I hope that she keeps pushing her life forward in a positive manner and doesn't turn to food for consolation. It was a very touching story.Current Log:

I agree. I have watched a few of these shows and while i do feel for the people i always wonder..how did you let it get this far. I can't help but think it some kind of trama they have not come to terms with..
I can remember back when i weighed 220. I knew i had to do something so i did..it was hard but i did it.
Even now i have what i call my danger weight. It's 140. When i hit that weight it is time to get serious and lose some weight.Daily Journal

She did have a tramatic experience that she admits she hadn't come to terms with. I just don't understand how you let yourself get THAT big, and lose all control of what you can/can't do. Her husband basically did EVERYTHING for her. There was nothing she could do alone.
I guess she bugged me because she was talking about getting better and having this surgery and then 5 mins later they were at Sonic wolfing down some nasty greasy food in mass quantities. I dunno.Current Log:

Wow now that is bad. I have seen shows where people get the surgery and go right back to their old ways. It drives me crazy. I could not pay all that money and go through the pain to keep eating.
I don't see how her husband could stand that..i love Steve but i hate to say this my love does have it's limits. I just don't know if i could wait on someone hand and foot that wasn't doing good for them...you know.
It's one thing if it is an illness or an accident but just to be disabled by eating..i don't think so..Daily Journal

After traveling to see my family and Superbowl party (and not exercising), I weighed this morning 160.8. I am getting hopeless but I know I did this to myself. I need to stop this nonsense. I ran 5 miles today and did Chest, Shoulder and Tricep. I was worried that I would not have any energy to lift wt so I ate some spaghetti. I don't think it was a good idea. But that's what I had in my house and nothing else. I need to prepare better next time. After finishing P90X, I had some turkey and rice for dinner. I weigh less than this morning. I know it is water wt gain but it's scary that the scale shows back in 160's. I worked so hard to get down to 150's and I would not let myself again back to where I was a couple months ago.
Now on, go down (scale)!!!
