I didnt try to say people didnt enjoy it, I am saying no ones mind's should have been blown by it. Hundreds of millions of people watched Transformers 2, doesnt make it good. Well of course Inception is better than that movie, but still I can almost guarantee it will be on no ones favorite list 5 years from now. It is most forgettable.

I see person after person saying inception was a mind blowing movie when it was far from. All movie long they do something that doesn't make immediate sense, then follow it up with character dialog of them explaining what you just saw or what would happen. Example,
"what happens if I die!" "you go into limbo" What is limbo" Limbo is...."

The whole movie is full of stunts, special effects, and plenty of gimmicks, but lacks any substance at all. Did anyone even really care about the main storyline with his wife while watching it? Probably not because there was no character building and no chance to gain attachment to them.

Case and point, Inception is a film that makes stupid people feel intelligent. You all leave thinking it is a mind blowing movie, yet 99% of you understood everything going on, since they spelled every single thing out for you in dialog.

After the first few minutes you can just switch off your brain.

It wasn't bad but I was so turned off by how the shootings were ridiculous, even for a film.
You're in a car getting riddled with M4s and you survive. Then you proceed to one shot one kill people that were supposed to be military trained.
Or the assault to the mountain base, that was beyond ridiculous.


I'm ok if something like that is done in Commando, but a film that is supposed to be "serious" makes it unacceptable.

Hey moron, do you think that all people are going to like all the same films? Of course not. People have different tastes in film, just like they have different tastes in music, books, food, cars, women, etc. Some people have very different ideas about what makes a film good (or bad).

For example, I never understood the hype behind The Matrix. I don't deliberately dislike The Matrix to try and be "cool" or different. No matter how hard I try, I just can't figure out why anybody would even think it's a good film, much less "mind blowing" or one of the best films ever made like some people proclaim.

I'm not going to flame you OP for disagreeing with my decision at all, my advice is simply not to read into movies so much. I know someone who does exactly what you do, used to come watch movies with my group of mates. After Inception and Avatar criticisms, Dark Knight, etc, it just got old and we don't ask him to come anymore. He just didn't seem to have the ability to see through these so called 'flaws', or rather, wasn't willing to.

I'm not saying you're imitating critics, but rather imitating their behaviour, in the sense of analysing in far too much depth.

Nice trolling. Why do you guys get so upset that some people are not impressed by flashy special effects? Some people like a good story line, captivating cinematography, good script writing, and many other things. Just because I like these things more than big flashy lights doesnt make me less intelligent. Popularity has nothing to do with it. The MAJORITY of good movies are popular, because of course they are good. But there will always be movies which are popular and NOT good, like twilight, transformers, and Iron man. AM I supposed to like every single movie that is popular? According to some of you I am.
