Lol at all the haters who hate on any movie that does well in the box office and gets praise everywhere. Past couple of years this is what I have heard:
Avatar = Pocahontas with blue people in space
Inception = Action/heist movie mixed in with dream levels.
All your reasons are always the same, you just try to find one dumb reason not enjoy a hit movie and claim its unoriginal. Really you dont like it? Yea you are really cool for not being with the "crowd." Inception was conceptually original. It isnt based on a novel, a comic book, and it isnt a remake like 90% of hollywood movies today.
Cant wait for the next big movie that comes out in 2011.

Why would I be mad? I knew you would have also hated Avatar. Probably for the same reason I said in my last post.
You are a simpleton and resort to hating on movies that are praised by critics, win a bunch of awards, and make a ton of money at the box office.
By the way, I dont even think Inception was the best film of the year. IMO that goes to The Kings Speech.

It's a cool movie, but it's tailor-made for 19 year old psych majors who think it's super-cerebral.

I dont let other opinions effect this, I saw both movies before reading a single review so your opinion is invalid. You are rather the simpleminded one as you feel everyone MUST like these movies just like you. If flashy effects dont impress me I AM the dumb one? Erm ok.....

Agreed.
After the first few minutes you can just switch off your brain.
It wasn't bad but I was so turned off by how the shootings were ridiculous, even for a film.
You're in a car getting riddled with M4s and you survive. Then you proceed to one shot one kill people that were supposed to be military trained.
Or the assault to the mountain base, that was beyond ridiculous.
I'm ok if something like that is done in Commando, but a film that is supposed to be "serious" makes it unacceptable.

Hey moron, do you think that all people are going to like all the same films? Of course not. People have different tastes in film, just like they have different tastes in music, books, food, cars, women, etc. Some people have very different ideas about what makes a film good (or bad).
For example, I never understood the hype behind The Matrix. I don't deliberately dislike The Matrix to try and be "cool" or different. No matter how hard I try, I just can't figure out why anybody would even think it's a good film, much less "mind blowing" or one of the best films ever made like some people proclaim.

I never said everyone must like the same movies as me. I just said that you fit into a category of retards that hate on the movie thats gets praise, wins awards, and does amazing at the box office. All the haters say the same thing for the Dark Knight, Avatar, Inception, etc...
Inception had flashy effects? Lol what movie were you watching? Fuk, you are such a peasant.

I never saw any reviews before seeing these films, did you miss that part? Or are you too busy hurdling insults because you feel personally insulted that your mind was blown by a movie 7 year olds can understand.....
Also by questioning that Inception had flashy effect you sound pretty dumb dude
one more thing, the Dark knight >> Inception. Heath Ledger stole that role for himself and made it memorable.“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.”

Hey OP, what popular movies do you like then? Aside from the matrix (and any other of IMDB's top 25 movies: http://www.imdb.com/chart/top)
Let me guess you also hate any band's new cd because their old stuff was way better

Well ain't that the worst.
I'm not going to flame you OP for disagreeing with my decision at all, my advice is simply not to read into movies so much. I know someone who does exactly what you do, used to come watch movies with my group of mates. After Inception and Avatar criticisms, Dark Knight, etc, it just got old and we don't ask him to come anymore. He just didn't seem to have the ability to see through these so called 'flaws', or rather, wasn't willing to.
I'm not saying you're imitating critics, but rather imitating their behaviour, in the sense of analysing in far too much depth.*Searching for a new crew, crew*

Nice trolling. Why do you guys get so upset that some people are not impressed by flashy special effects? Some people like a good story line, captivating cinematography, good script writing, and many other things. Just because I like these things more than big flashy lights doesnt make me less intelligent. Popularity has nothing to do with it. The MAJORITY of good movies are popular, because of course they are good. But there will always be movies which are popular and NOT good, like twilight, transformers, and Iron man. AM I supposed to like every single movie that is popular? According to some of you I am.
