I can't believe how everybody underestimate Victor Martinez, winner of an Arnold Classic and took 2nd place on the Olympia 2007 which some believe he should of won. He has improved his leg size(according to him in an interview in MD), if this is true and the guy comes in condition, I don't see why he wouldn't place top 3, not to mention he's packing the best chest in the competition period, im not a fan of the guy but I wouldn't sleep on him.

Kind of hard to compare when you haven't seen them standing next to one another... wouldn't you say?
I didn't say nore speculate that he should retire. I am saying that he is going to have a hard time competing with who is coming up. All you can look at on Vic is his past showings right now... nobody can forsee the future. You don't really expect to see Vic 1000 times better than you did this year or last do you? Its impossible, sure he can make changes... bring up legs, etc. But he is not going to have a complete turn around.
You haven't even seen Kai, Phil, Evan, Brandon, or any of those guys peak physique. They are still in the making. Each year these guys are getting better and better and everybody is getting more and more impressed. I hate to say it but I think Vic reached his potential. He may come in more conditioned, may look better, but do you really expect him to look any different than he does?
I am a HUGE fan of Vic. And I think he should have won the Arnold this year, hands down. And I will continue to support him. I am just saying that he is going to have alot of competition. I am not saying anything that he does not already know. If the judges f****d him this year, they will probably next.
Excatly what I was thinking.... /thread.
He always looks like that. Vic is always smiling. He is one of the only guys who doesnt look like his is stressing to flex when he does. It just looks natural like he is just like bam whats up?

theres absolutely no way in hell kai will place ahead of dexter or phil, and jay is a name, even if kai deserves to place ahead of jay there is a 90% chance it wont happen, if wolf comes in shape with good improvements and his old 2007 width kai will probably have a fight to even place 4th. and victor wont place ahead of kai so that puts victor in 5th or 6th.
unless victor makes huge leaps of improvement he is going to place 5th or 6th. .
this is they way i think the 09 olympia is going to go down

well I could see kai in 3rd but he won't finish worse than that. It just won't happen not after winning the arnold. I don't think shows are fixed but there are precedents that get set and the judges have to adhere to certain things for instance....
dex will probably win (he has to get top 3 after winning last year)
Jay (no obligation to him anymore he can finish anywhere since he lost last year)
Kai (will get top 3 and be a contendor after winning the arnold)
Phil (pretty much guaranteed top 3 after his finish last year at the "O")
Wolf (no obligation at all)
vic (no obligation but he'll be top 5 because of his name, popularity and 2nd at the arnold kind of a wildcard)
Now in seeing the above I'd bet on.....
Dex
Kai
Phil
vic/jay
Wolf
I guess I'm not sure how you are even comparing kai and wolf at all? Wolf isn't in that league yet he should be thrilled with a top 5 finish.
The problem heath will have is although his conditioning is crazy Kai's is just as crazy and he looks so much bigger than heath. So I'm not really sure how they can put Phil ahead of Kai.

LOL @ you trying to compare an offseason posing to an actual conditioned physique. That has nothing to do with what they look like when they are on stage. How can you throw two random pictures up and try to compare them, unless they are physically standing next to each other it really doesnt work!
Again, your only ****ting on yourself. You must be mad.
