3 years of non-stop msu homerism
disappears after the furman game
Such a busy schedule.
Im glad to know Jabrill Peppers has such a large role in your life, though. try and sack up and post if msu goes 5-7 next year.Last edited by wildchild11; 12-06-2016 at 02:16 PM.

God forbid I know a little bit about football, am aware of the other teams and players in the same conference as my own alma mater, and spend 2 seconds posting something of substance in this cesspool. Particularly when the player in question has been hyped as the second coming of Charles Woodson and the best defensive player in CFB history.
Just for you, I'll just make a normal sports misc post:
LAWL KObe > Lerbon > Curry > Jordan GSW sucks!! leborn is a lil bitch so is currty his shoes are stupid cavs gon clap dem cheekz in teh finalz
OMG WTF did u guise see what Cam newton wore in his presser what a bitch lolLast edited by stevedarsh; 12-06-2016 at 02:23 PM.

Pro Football Focus All B1G team last season......"Slot cornerback: Jabrill Peppers, Michigan (+16.1)
Peppers plays safety and slot corner, lining up all over the field. One of the most dynamic talents in the country he allowed just 32 receptions all year, breaking up six passes in the process.
2nd team: Von Bell, Ohio State (+13.4)" But but...lacks fluidity to cover

32nd in the league in tackles, only 3.5 sacks on the season (Taco Charlton had 8.5 in 2 fewer games), zero defended passes and 1 single interception to his name. You know who has more pick-6's in his career than Jabrill Peppers? Malik McDowell, Defensive Tackle
Yes, he lacks fluidity to cover in space even at the college level, that's why they moved him to LB.
Even at LB he's stiff:
At least whoever drafts him can get some use out of him as a blocking sled.
And that, kids, is why you don't use your starting linebackers in all three phases of the game. By the time overtime comes around all they can do is stand around like a tackling dummy.Last edited by stevedarsh; 12-07-2016 at 08:18 AM.

Explain why you are so butthurt about a Michigan player being NOMINATED for an award. Little brother syndrome is running deep in your fan base these days. Tackles are the most useless defensive stat out there, UM leads the nation in 3 and outs. Looks at defensive snaps played and compare tackle opportunities. Also you're cherry picking stats that leave out the fact that UM played their backups for the entire second half of 5 or 6 games

Because he doesn't deserve it. His statline this year is of an average to below-average player. We've been fed this line of him being the uber-athlete due to Harbaugh's cult of personality, but it hasn't materialized on the playing field. In reality, Harbaugh's fetish with flip flopping him all over the football field has probably stunted his growth rather than help him. All of this has been a recruiting gimmick.
I don't know if you've been asleep for awhile, but little brother syndrome disappeared from the MSU fanbase about 10 years ago. The only teams in the B1G with a plausible resume to be competitive with MSU over the course of the Dantonio era are Wisconsin (#RealRivals) and OSU, except Wisconsin never won the big game when it counted. Here's a fun fact: Every single B1G title game since it's inception has had either MSU, Wisconsin, or both in it. OSU, of course is in a league of their own.
But just for kicks, why don't we let your little brother accusation play out and see how that goes?
You're right of course, big bro. I should probably take a step back and congratulate you on your back-to-back 3rd place finishes in the B1G East. Dantonio has failed us, but luckily our big brother is there to show us how it's done.
At least you guys have been to the playoffs.
...what, you haven't done that?
Well ok, at least mighty Michigan has won a ROSE BOWL living memory. I mean that's what UM football is all about going all the way back to Saint Bo, and now you're coached by Schembechler Lite, all the way down to the "bitter disappointment."
Wait, you're telling me that both Bo and Harbaugh have NEVER won the big game, from the Rose Bowl to the Superbowl at any point in their careers? Sh*t.
So ok, at least you've been B1G champs in the last 15 years. You can hang your hat on that. Ask any coach and they'll always tell you it's about conference championships first.
Wait, you haven't won a conference title since Y2K.
Well crap. At least you've frequently APPEARED in the conference title game...I mean big bro has to be in the CONVERSATION, right?
What...you've never even won your own B1G division? Well f*ck, what HAS UM football ever done? You guys have at least been the best team in the STATE of Michigan in the last decade, right?
With WMU at 13-0 in 2016 and UM going 1-2 in their last 3 games, we can only definitely say UM has been the best in MI once, in 2012.
You got me there you guys. I admit that almost 5 years ago the 8-4 Wolverines were briefly the best CFB team in the state of Michigan. You win big bro.Last edited by stevedarsh; 12-07-2016 at 09:52 AM.

The media doesn't bash harbaugh, come on. They might point out the weird **** he does because it's weird, but they love seeing Michigan do well. Harbaugh helped ESPN score the best regular season ratings for a game in years for The Game this year. That's the way to ESPN's heart.
There has to be some explanation for how Peppers finished 5th in voting. It's certainly not from his performance on the field. You can blame holding for the Samuel run but what about when he got juked out by Barrett in the open field? JT might be elusive around the pocket but he's anything but in the open field. A defensive Heisman candidate doesn't miss that tackle. So again how can we explain him being included? In 3 pages we haven't seen any support for why... just that we are haters. People have posted names of players that are significantly better on defense. He's a good returner but hasn't had a fantastic season on special teams (in part because teams are gameplanning around him). He's had a few good games on offense but in nothing more than gimmicky use. you could argue that he didn't do any better than leaving in your starters over him. His 4 carries for 4 yards against OSU really stands out.
As a Michigan fan you should be upset, too, because comparing him to Woodson or Howard is disrespectful. He will never be the player those two were.

Im not interested in making "arguments" around to a guy who was still saying harbaugh hadn't really accomplished anything by midseason of this year (when we had risen to #3 after being 5-7 in 2014). most reasonable osu fans would say, ok, harbaugh's doing decent.
Your arguments are hot takes
You dont engage with logic
And every so often, you expect me to engage with you seriously
