Hoy! I didn't get my workout in last night. I wanted to, but the 'real' gym home was being lived in again and I really didn't want to supplement quad or horizontal push/pull at the mediocre gym. So I decided to wait until today instead Our friend and my brother are home today (they both live in the 'real' gym home...the other residents that are only there sometimes are friend's brother and girlfriend who I don't like intruding on) so going there for sure after work today to crush some weights and hang out for a bit I was, however, quite productive on my day off from the gym yesterday! I did laundry, gutted my clothes drawers, dusted, vacuumed, cleaned the room....! It was excellent.
Mkay! I'm off! Be back later with workout! Happy Tuesday!

Slow-ish day here at work so secretly reading up on muscular hypertrophy/methods of inducing more damage without destroying the muscle by overloading it with crappy form/limited ROM (TUT, Rest-pause, partial reps, etc.) Learning about stretching the muscles during eccentric movements and such; it's time I started learning these things! I've made a few alterations to my workouts....lol!!! They're going to be quick and intense with minimized rest periods and really focus on stretching the muscles/performing full ROM with total MMC. Still doing BGB but thinking of incorporating a few 8x8 sets and rather than supersetting different muscle groups- try doing them with exercises that incorporate most of the same muscles, and try single leg movements one after the other without rest to create more of a metabolic/stressful environment with awesome ROM. Today's brutality will be BSS with front foot up on a plate for more ROM, one leg after the other without rest, Step-ups to bench with partial reps at the end of each set, 8x8 rope curls, and higher rep cable SLDL supersetted with walking lunges at the end, lol!!! I might die today. Going to go read more

I do TUT! It's the greatest thing ever. Do you subscribe to Alan Aragon's research review? I know you're bored at work and that would definitely give you something to do at work. And your pics the past couple of pages have been on point. I definitely need to visit our neighbors to the North some day

Haha! For sure
Thanks! Yes, I couldn't do it. lol! Straight sets are bad enough when you're working hard. It took too long to catch my breath to not rest. lol!!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

So today (mostly out of boredom..lol! I swear, these last two days...) I decided to go back for another free dexa scan Also mainly because my calcium wasn't the greatest and I want to keep on top of that. My nails aren't the strongest. But it will be interesting to see the results and compare them to two years ago! I'm booking it for the 18th of July since that's the weekend we are going to a friend's cabin and so we are taking that day off from work. It will be in the morning sometime between 9:00 and 11:00.

Great workout Lori! Awesome job on the chinups.
Why do you get the DEXA scans for free? Just curious. I've never gotten one - I had an appointment once but had to cancel it and then never went back I think it would be super interesting to know!*Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.*

Thanks
Our University wants volunteers so the med students can learn things! You also have to fill out this giant survey about what you eat/how frequently, what your lifestyle consists of, etc I'd do it more often but big scans can increase risks of cancer due to the large amount of radiationTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Well, I am sore. lol!!! My legs are super sore, my butt is ridiculously sore, my chest has been brutalized. It's good Today is Stephen's brother's birthday so we're picking him up something after work. Since we'll be over there anyway I might get in a quick vertical push/pull workout, or I may rest, depending on how I feel. Tomorrow is Friday and there probably won't be a workout then, or Saturday because we're always gone all day, and then party Saturday night, so it might be my best bet to get another one in before the weekend! Happy Thursday! So close now!!!

The more the day passes the more sore I am! It's crippling! I'm figuring hammies and triceps tomorrow, vertical on Sunday.
Thanks so much!!! I am happy to recomp from here on in for sure once the summer is over!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
