I'm also a much more proficient cleaner than anything else. I've cleaned 275 but only jerked 215 (and can't hit that consistently), and my snatch is even worse when compared to my jerk.
Cleaning is the only thing I'm remotely good at. I attribute it to learning the hang clean when I was in 8th grade while training for sports. Muscle memory and such.

Man huntito, all these feels brah. I benched 250x7 easy a month (maybe two) ago, 225x10 not long after. Seriously struggled getting out 3x5 with 225 last week.
Haven't been able to back squat 3 plates since my first week of moving off to school. Failed a third rep at 305 2 weeks ago, 285x3 was max effort last week. I've been eating and sleeping more (scheduling my meals up here is difficult) but I'm not sure it's enough.
Gonna try to set a PR CJ tonight, probably around 107kg. Have failed this in the recovery, though I've power clean and jerked 2 plates, lol. My jerk is seriously strong enough to lay out at least 260-270 right now... just can't clean it.Best gym lifts: S 430 / B 385 / D 480 both C&S

I have two options available to me, the shed outside with the platform and bumpers, and the gym inside with the platform and bumpers. In either case, during the summer I would be forced to go at night. I would have to go to the shed at night because for the last few months it's been hotter than ten thousand of Satan's *******s during the day. I would have to go to the gym at night because during the day there are too many people/angry gym staff getting sand in their vaginas if you drop weight on the platform.
It's cooler out now, and during the school year the gym closes at midnight. That gives me the option of going later. Because I'm a senior now, I don't have any classes before 1 pm, and the latest class I have on any day is 6 pm, so classes have no real impact on my lifting schedule. An endless barrage of homework and research is what may affect my lifting, but in either case, my schedule will be the same to the best of my ability: Go late at night to the shed/gym.
dbk do you lift 7 days a week?

I get up for class around 10am every day. Finish up around 4pm; 5pm on Thursdays. I eat at 4:30-5:30pm every day, and unless I order a pizza or something that's usually my only meal. (campus diners close at 6:30-7:00pm) To rectify this issue, I drink a half gal - gal of milk a day whenever I have access and make sure that one meal is large. Had two large double cheeseburgers yesterday and half a large pizza. Currently drinking a half gal, will drink a full gallon and eat before the day is out.
I'd buy groceries and whatnot to eat larger for a more affordable rate, but I don't have a job. If I had to work alongside my studying and lifting I'd probably jump off a cliff after running myself into the ground physically and mentally. So I'm just on the campus meal plan at the moment.
I lift around 8-9pm 4 times a week, 2-3 if I'm really feeling beat up (like during midterms last week). I come home around 10:30-11pm and study/do homework. This has led to some stupidly late nights. Actually spent 7 straight hours on chemistry work one night -- though some of it was procrastinated work, lol.
The rec center where I lift is a good 20 minute walk from my building, up and down hills. So there's that. Mostly all of this just leads to me feeling very tired by the time I get to lift. :l Big change from being able to take a 2 minute stroll down the block to my hometown gym after preparing myself with a rounded meal / a nice nap.Best gym lifts: S 430 / B 385 / D 480 both C&S

i know that feel haha I'm basically doing IF because I just don't have time to eat, but my school's grill has beef/chicken/salmon and rice available for lunch and dinner so I just gorge on obscene amounts of meat.
usually yea. my coach trains lifters (and himself) bulgarian style, so usually its 7x a week of snatch, c+j or just cleans and front/back squats. right now though football ****s everything up, no way Id have the time or energy to even train 5x a week. basically right now i have two mandatory lifts @ 6am or 630 am and then I can come in on my own on sundays. might even try to sneak in a lift fridays from now on. the morning lifts is some form of bench and other bbing stuff, wait till our lifting coach leaves, than front squat to max/heavy single and do some drop down sets. some times he makes us do high rep hang cleans and i cry on the inside. sundays (and maybe now fridays) are the only times I can do the classic lifts and those are more a traditional workout.Get This Shiiiiiiiiiiiit

It's a 7 minute drive to school, and the crossfit I train at is EXACTLY in the middle between my house and my university. I usually train 4x a week, and I either go to the campus gym in between classes (I have 3 hour breaks some days) or I go to crossfit on my way home after class (usually 4pm).

My schedule is all fuarked up except on Mondays/Wednesdays. I'm basically in school from 9-12 M/W, 12-7pm T/Th, and Fr 8am-2pm. My training schedule with takano is usually 2 hours or so starting at 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm M/W/F. I'm going to start squatting and adding accessory work on t/th/sa if I can find the time to squeeze it in
Dude I hate this feeling. I almost never have time to eat at home, and I'm so cheap I get buyer's remorse once I buy a $5 footlong at subway haha. My diet is pretty ****ty too, lot's of burgers and junk food just to get some quick, convenient calories. It seems like the only things I'm constantly eating (actually drinking) are tons of OJ pre workout, and ****-tons of whole milk post workout lol. I REALLY need to eat more, I think I'm below 94kg now, when I used to be about 2-3 kilos above. There's just never any time to eat til I get home, and that usually isn't til late unless it's a Monday or WednesdayThe Long Road to Competition... My olympic weightlifting journal:

I have never lived on campus - I live in a brand new townhouse with two guys and it is in a really nice area, cannot complain. I drive to school everyday and I can wake up 30min before class starts and make it there on time. The parking sucks at our university, so my main motivation to go to 8:30am lectures is to get a good parking spot haha. I have a feeling that US college and canadian school are a bit different vibe.

One of the things I like about my school is it's small. Like extremely small, definitely by far the smallest of the major universities in the US. As such, campus barely extends beyond one city block. That means a) you can get away with waking up 5 minutes before class and b) all students are guaranteed campus-owned housing either on or right next to campus. But students have a pretty unhappy relationship with 9 am classes. Because the institute and the professors believe in the virtue of an unimaginable amount of work every week, students are usually up to 4-5 am on a given weekday night, which means that 9 am classes are rarely attended.

A big part is because it's LA and the cost of living is pretty high. It's different in other states. I've noticed if you want to move out at like 18/19/20/21 you need to be really fortunate or basically work 100%. Not many of my friends that moved out at that age went to school, and they're stuck working at grocery stores, restaurants and hair salons lol. I don't mind staying with my family til I'm older, once dental school starts it will have all been worth it.
I don't know how people can go to school full time, work full time, and get good grades. I can barely balance being a full time student, working part time, training and getting above 3.0's...The Long Road to Competition... My olympic weightlifting journal:

I am basically just living off loans now. I am already quite in debt, paid $7k for tuition today and didn't even feel a thing - drop in the bucket at this point. Bought a motorcycle and paid for summer vacations on my student loans :')

I never took out loans. If i did, I would have been way over 30k in debt on just tuition alone at this point (as a senior). Honestly, I'm gonna be 400k in debt if I go to USC dental, so 30k wouldnt be that much worse lmao. It would be nice as fukk if I could live on my own and get that cbr600 i've been eyeballing lol. Can't tell you how many times I've been cockblocked by not having my own place

I am kind of the same, I don't eat until after 2pm, though yesterday my FIRST meal of anything was at like 5:20pm. I get side tracked with school, then I want to be around people, you know, going out and doing stuff etc. There are times where after class Ill spend an hour talking to people. Thats why I have so much time between classes, otherwise I would never be on time. As for training, I hardly train anymore. Not motivated for it. I haven't really PR'ed in so long. For example, Ill squat a heavy triple(1st rep looks easy, second harder, third is balls to the wall) and if I add 5kg for a 1rm I nearly fail. My legs are also far from being unconditioned
I need to eat more though, seriously. It takes a toll on you over time. I am at the point where I can eat nearly nothing, lift heavy, and yet maintain my current weight. Either "starvation mode" is real or I need to get tested for hypothyroidism, which I think I might have.blahhhhh

if you're not following a set program and lifting based on how you feel, that might be the problem. I haven't pred in a while because i trained harder not smarter.
Why don't u pretend u have a competition at a certain date and work towards it, that day would be the day to go for a pr. Peak before it and everything.
An interesting thought, Russian's average training load is 70%. But from the beginning to the end of the cycle, the volume increases threefold.Gym lifts (PB): C&J: 132.5k, Snatch: 107.5k (p)Jerk: 138k, Clean: 137k Front Squat: 153

You're my bro, but that is a pretty gay bike dude.
In other news, a new client was telling me tonight that her boyfriend made fun of her for buying Weightlifting shoes, and that him and friend are weightlifters and they don't wear special shoes...They train at planet fitness, and both look like skinny little ***gots.
