No kidding Barb! Keep your fingers crossed for my skins this weekend!!!!
HI EVERYONE!!!!!
Sorry it's been awhile....basically work is INSANE for me right now. My boss is gone this week and next and we have more RFP's then EVER! I am working my butt off - literally...here early in the AM, staying late at night..12 hr days. But i'm loving it - I got my first RFP (request for proposal - in case anyone doesn't know!) out by myself Wednesday...very satisfying!!!
NO gym though..and I'm feeling it. Ugh.. I miss it. It's been a week today! But I'm just exhausted. I get home late..try to do SOME cleaning...I made some yummy food the other night (the garlic peanut chicken, brown rice, and some ranch/breaded chicken breasts - SOOO good). Then we just veg in front of the TV for a bit and time for bed!!! I've had trouble sleeping (I think my mind is running!!) and tried one or two mornings for the gym but I need my sleep!
BUT I will take tomorrow (Sat) to get a NICE long Gym session in...legs..cardio..the whole deal. It's not much for the week...but it's something...and I need it!
Eating has been decent..not perfectly clean..but not eating tons of food either. Hubs and I are on a tight budget these two weeks too...so no whey..not too much protein..just keeping things simple!! But I'm still getting in veggies...salmon/tuna...chicken....brown rice...eggs... So all is good!
Next week I'll be at my parents hanging with my brother while my parents are out of town. I hope to get in some runs next week..and maybe some light lifting (they have a small home gym)..but my commute will be LONGER from there and my work hours will still be long and crazy.
Give me another week and I'll be back to normal...
OH - and wedding was WONDERFUL. Hurricane weather was in the AM Sat but cleared up for the wedding. It was awesome! We had the BEST time. Just partied all weekend with all of our friends...it was truly a blast. And the wedding was so personalized and beautiful!!! I needed serious detox after that weekend though!
Will be back in here and back to normal soon..
GO SKINS!!!

Thanks for the update.
I am happy you are getting all your work done.
and your workouts even though they are not as consitant as you'd like.
I hear ya on being on a tight budget ...and Food can be really expensive.
BUT it doesn't have to be.....There are many 'cheap' and nutritious meals you can make.
I am sure you know this already
I am really happy you had a good time at the wedding.

Hi Mary!
I love hearing about your work when you use real work terms and stuff I remember my first RFPs I did on my own, and I know what you mean about it being very satisfying! What were you submitting for? When will you find out if you were selected?
Sounds like things are still going well! Hope you have a great weekend!

where are you Mary?
I just wanted to wish you a happy belated birthday!'Cause sometimes you just feel tired, you feel weak
And when you feel weak you feel like you want to just give up
But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
And just pull that *** out of you and get motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you want to just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Hello ladies...
I'm not "back" - I'm just coming in to say HELLO since it has been like 6 months since I've posted.. I haven't actually been in here in months - and for some reason today I thought it would be fun to see how everyone is doing!!
Life has changed for me.... I am 5 Months PREGNANT with our first baby - a little boy! He's due October 7th. Bryan and I are beyond excited..we can't wait to meet him!
You all be happy to know - I do try to still lift at least 1-2 times a week..and I walk a lot (3-5 miles on the weekend). I'm not completely consistent with my workouts - trying to be better now that I'm in my 2nd trimester and I have more energy!!!
Anyhow..that's all. Just wanted to share my news and say hi!
Hope everyone is doing well!

WOW! That's sooo awesome you came back to give us an update (well, not "back" but at least a little update... hehe).
CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!! That is so exciting... talk about a new phase of your life... I'm sure you will make an amazing mother and you must be so thrilled right now. Great to hear you're still lifting sometimes but keeping up a healthy lifestyle.
Hope everything continues to go fabulously for you!!!*Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.*
