Now I just need to hope that my carbs can increase like yours to keep up with the sweet tooth otherwise more zombie mode to come!
Thanks Billy!
Thanks man. That's honestly what I was thinking after the workout "brain just want to lift more". Ah well next week I'll get it right... hopefully with more PRs!
Better believe it bro!
Haha thanks man! Sweet tooth bros 4 life haha.
Aware me on how you madethe pumpkin mix? If you want to make a real pumpkin pie there are plenty of low-carb low fat recipes out there (no crust) which taste awesome. They are pretty awesome though!
I have kind of noticed this, the aussies don't tend to post much to do with pumpkin. What gives? Is it just not a popular squash there?
Thanks bro, good to know you're still in the shadows
PR errrryday... for as long as possible

Pumpkin pie is great, pumpkin soup is weak, pumpkin risotto is mindblowing.
I agree. Plenty of ways to eat pumpkin and pie isn't the most interesting IMO.
Pumpkin is super versatile. It's one of those things that can adapt to almost any food situation. It can be made savory or sweet, and in both cases can compliment meat/fish very well. And lets not forget pancakes and pumpkin bread for the sweet tooth.
Phuck that sounds good.

Day 78: 15 weeks, 5 days
Had a really good lift today as expected following my refeed. Short and sweet aside from a little chat I had an older bodybuilder who competes in the masters class in the federation I'll compete which is pretty cool. We've spoken before but we rarely train at the same time, but he was cool and came over to compliment me on my deads which was pretty cool. The guy has got a crazy prep in front of him. He's competing this summer in both the regionals and the nationals, which are a good two months apart! Crazy dedication, so yea I was pretty pumped after our talk - also he told me that at the regional level conditioning > size so I should have a good shot even in the novice class. Not thinking about placing TOO much though, the goal is really to get up there and look good and get the experience.
Back to the session: got my PR in deads, leg press felt good and got some nice calf/ab work in at the end. Also even though I was tired as hell I forced myself to do some foam rolling when I got home, and I'm seriously glad I did. Could definitely feel my lats and traps were sore from yesterday, and want to make sure I'm not too tight tomorrow. Nothing worse than being tight and sore when you have to do cardio.
Next two lower workouts will have squats and I'm really curious to see how this alternating maximal squatting with maximal deadlifting is going to improve my numbers. So far mentally it's awesome, since I can really psyche myself up for the next lower power workout, and even though the focus changes from day to day progress is still being made on my two favorite lifts.

You're already getting there with your goal of socializing to girls often. That's why I like your log. It shows the life of a determined boy looking to get strong and get through his teenage life full of girls, school, etc. & pursuing his passion (cooking).

I need to go there but I don't care how cute and cuddly, it it's exotic I'm eating it.
This exchange brought a tear to my eye, no homo
Thanks man, felt good to nail that with relative ease. I'm excited because my previous 1RM was 407 and the way deads have been feeling lately I think I could easily top that.
And yea re: the foam rolling I make sure I get at least 3x a week otherwise bad things start to happen.
Thanks my man! As I said above it feels good to firstly continue to be able to move this weight while prepping, and secondly for it to feel pretty easy. Definitely feels awesome!

Day 79: 15 weeks, 4 days out
Quiet day today. Lots of work done throughout the day and some cardio in the PM. The effectiveness of caffeine while dieting simply cannot be overstated.
Upper hyper tomorrow. Body is feeling good, lets do it!

mmmm classic Mos meals. I think I'm going to dig in to some apples tonight as well...
And regarding caffeine, it's awesome. Green tea+black coffee work wonders during the fast. My hunger is pretty much suppressed due to IF, but those rare hunger pangs are eliminated b/c of caffeine for some reason. Also helps my focus in class, workouts, etc.

It ain't really a mystery. Caffeine amps up adrenaline release which in turn damps hunger and increases focus, best of both worlds. Combine that with an activity that demands attention and hunger becomes very secondary even if it is present.
I agree, I'm actually expecting a slash in cals this weekend. I'm pretty sure Eric would have been ready to pull the trigger last week already but he decided to delay to let me acclimatize to the new routine. And it seems to have worked because weight is moving back down and I feel MUCH less battered after the workouts and it's only my second week.
Bowl of oats was awesome indeed, and don't worry about reps, glad you're still following
They're always a winner my dude!

Day 80: 15 weeks, 3 days out
This week's upper hyper felt MUCH better than last week, both in terms of fatigue between exercises and also my general feeling after the workout. Maybe energy was just unusually high today or I timed my coffee/caffeine perfectly, either way it was good stuff. I just had fun with the whole thing. Moving up on all the important lifts.
Now answer me this. For my SOHP I struggle with anything much above 125, but when it comes to seated DB shoulder press I can handle 66's with ease. I guess it comes down to the fact that when you're doing SOHP you are essentially pressing from your feet whereas when you're seated you're pressing from a much more stable base. Either way it's nice that my shoulders have some strength to them. 1-arm rows felt great today too. I didn't up the weight last week but decided to get another form vid for Jeff and Eric. The focus was very much on smooth reps and TUT, which I both nailed today. Just need to work on keeping my torso a little more upright by moving my supporting arm in closer to my supporting knee, and the form will basically be there.
I'm noticing that my curls and lat raises are suffering a bit towards the end of the workout, which makes sense considering the exercises that precede them. If things keep stagnating I may just do a chop in the weights and focus on TUT and just increase the weight slooowly. They are essentially fluff movements when compared to the other stuff in the workout, so I'm not TOO worried about that. Maybe it won't even be an issue once I'm fully adapted.

You know what the reason is? It's that SOHP is HELLA hard. I don't know what makes it so much harder, only that it is. I was doing DB shoulder presses with 70s for 8 reps at one point, but my best 5RM ever on standing press, even training it regularly, was like 140-145 and it was an absolute monster.
