lost my mom when she was 48 and my mother in law when when she was 53 just three years after losing my mom. I loved both those women very much. I am so very sorry for this soul stabbing loss that you are now dealing with even though you saw her getting weaker every day...does not prepare you for this. My deepest sympathies Lis on the loss of your beloved sister. Trish.

I hate to hear that. Losing somebody is hard, and really nothing is much consolation right now. All I can say is, I've lost three grandparents to cancer. One of them long before their time should have been gone. Eventually the memories will stop being a reason for pain and will be a reason to smile. The thoughts do feel like daggers right now. Just don't be afraid to express them. Find a healthy way to let it out.
I spent more than a few weekends in a bottle after my step-grandfather died. It was a dark year that I wish I could recapture. Don't let the sorrow rob you of your vitality and opportunities. Living to the fullest (cliche alert) is really what she would want. If she didn't want to go, she wouldn't want you to live like you were dead.
Sorry for being preachy and cliche. I'll be sending positive vibes your way today.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

Thanks so much. She had a good life, a very loving husband and three great kids.
Thanks T. I am sorry you had to lose your mother and mother-in-law so young. My good friend lost her mom when she was in her 20s, and said there were countless days she wished she could pick up the phone and talk to her. I can't imagine how I would manage as a mother without having my own mother to talk too. I feel for you, and I feel for my sister's kids.
Thank you. My heart is very heavy and sad, but I'll endure this. Promise!
Thank you. I'm sorry you lost your friend.
Thanks very much for your kind words. No drama: You know where we are.

When somebody says, "yeah I took care of that" and you later find out they didn't. Bad enough with minor stuff, right? It is one-hundred times worse when they tell you they didn't and then ask you to do it because they don't have time.
Person failed to do something highly important after saying they did. Now, (three months later) they tell me they didn't do it. It has to be done by Friday and they are too busy. So, they ask me to do it and then proceed to tell me exactly how I should do it. I just wanted to scream, "f*** off or go do it yourself. You had your chance, and didn't do it." Now I have to get it done today, because I have to work 16 hour shifts Thursday and Friday. To make it worse, they told me after I took my pre workout and before I started working out. Now I've basically wasted my pre.
Then they have the nerve to say, "I'm at work and had to stop to take all of these other calls. So you can lose the irritated voice. You don't have anything to do today." So rustled.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

I, too, am sorry for your loss Lisa. I hate hearing when people lose loved ones to cancer. Instead of thinking about how it's unfair that she is gone, think about all the good and kindness she was able to spread while she lived.

Lisa, I am so so so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you love and hugs xoxo
I lost my mom to lung cancer just about 15 years ago. I can't say you will ever get over it but time has a way of making it easier to deal with. I know she's with me, just as your sister will always be with you.
I can't remember the exact quote but it's something like "The people we love are never truly gone because they live in our heart."Danielle xoxo

BubsnBean: My mom has The Imperial March as her ring tone for her work... You know, Darth Vader's theme song... Makes me laugh every time they call, because her ringer is usually set REALLY loud.
Lisa: Oh hun... Insert long, tight e-hug here... My heart goes out to you and your family, in hopes that each day something good happens to help ease the burden of your sister's passing, and bring smiles to your faces even if only for a moment.MFP: mkjbarreto

Jimmies rustled by dude in my marketing class who keeps fact checking everything the prof says and interjecting all of the trivial information he finds into the conversation... I fully understand bringing up different view points and bringing to light new information when it's warranted but for this class at this point in time, it seriously isn't. I wish he would kindly stfu and let the professor (who has a tendency to go off on unrelated tangents without prompting anyway) talk about what he's supposed to be talking about so we can all go home at a reasonable time. I'm an over-achiever and this guy makes me look like a knuckle-dragging slacker...

jimmies are rustled...perhaps an understatement.
when things are going good in your life, and then, someone tells you such terrible news. and you realize how fragile life is.
i have had much better days, we'll leave it at that.
mother teresa was quoted saying...'God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I wish He didn't think I could handle so much.'

I just found out a high school classmate died. She wasnt' someone I was close to and someone just posted it on ********. I am not ******** friends with her but looked on her page to see if it said anything and her profile picture is two little girls. I don't know what happened.
Even when you weren't friendly with someone, it rattles you to hear of someone your age dying, someone you knew and were in school with for four years. It's so sadDanielle xoxo

Thank you, all of you, and each of you, so very much! Your words comfort me, honestly. It grieves me to read about so many people having lost someone dear to them. Oh my. How I wish I had something brilliant and comforting to say.
I'm sorry about your friend. Good Heavens, you are young so your friend must have been young too. How sad. Too awful, really.
And yes, it does rattle. It really does.No drama: You know where we are.

I've lost several classmates in the too short span of 12 years I've been out of HS...all for stupid stupid preventable reasons. Breaks my heart for the children they leave behind because of poor choices..and the ones that have to answer the "Why" questions of the little hearts. Definitely makes me squeeze my little man tighter.

My heart aches for you Lisa! Lost my father to cancer. Successful treatments for prostate cancer and a few months later he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Losing a loved one is such a hard thing to go through. My father was ready to go so it seemed to make it a little easier for us when he passed. I rambled around for days after feeling so lost and not knowing how to cope. The pain will ease with time. Many hugs to you and your family!
