Been following this thread for a while but rarely post - just posted this in my Jan to April fat loss contest I'm working on,
update on my current cut and hoping to motivate some peeps :] (dat pose makes my traps look bad, it's there dont worry lol)
Dec01 pic - 162 lbs, estimated myself to be at least 18%+, very flabby overall and the pic barely does justice on how
undefined my stomach was. Had a few months of inconsistent lifting (mostly back, traps, and biceps tho) in me through
the years that don't show at all. Don't have a better pic cuz I had no interest in having much pics of me in that state.
Started lifting very lightly due to breaking my collarbone a week prior. Diet was on point.
Jan01 - 154 lbs, no pic, don't care much for progress pics until I knew I was able to stick with this cut until the end.
Collarbone felt much better, got a gym membership halfway thru Jan and found a dedicated lifting buddy, went from
training every day at home to 6x a week at the gym.
Feb01 - 149-150ish, still hitting the gym at least 5x a week.
Feb17 pic - weighing in at 146 around 12% bf, apparently I stuck with the cut consistently and my goal month (April) at sub10%
is becoming a reality. Still don't care much for progress pics but I wanted to see how my back looked, was happy with the pic
so I thought I'd share and hopefully motivate some ppl here. Better pics will probably be due in April :]https://www.twitch.tv/kerune403

I need to stop taking my fat burners so early in the morning, the hunger suppression on them is so intense that I'm gagging on my breakfast : /

Detonate by Gaspari, taking two caps in the morning- I feel no need whatsoever to eat, feel as though I wanna be sick now- and I've still gotta get milk/protein shake in
^to the post above, I thought you needed to wait two weeks for ketosis to kick in before carbing up- don't quote me on it though*Advanced 5/3/1 lifts, aiming for Elite*

Just had a re-feeding day!!! Fuk do I feel bloated, can't wait to see the results in the next 3-4 days. Do any other bros fast for a day? Once a week I skip bfest and lunch I survive off 2 12oz sugar free red bulls till dinner. Usually look ripped the next day.

I went through induction like over a month ago. Have been refeeding every 6-7 days since then. By the end of the 6-7 days no carb/lifting my lifts suffer like 50% rep-wise because of no muscle glycogen so need to replenish that (also refeeds boost metabolism back up because of leptin if you keep em low fat/fructose)
pretty much the only way to effectively cut weight if you're an endo with high insulin resistance like me
a lot of other benefits to keto too but you can research those on your own if interested

Well I wouldn't say that. If you ate brownies for every meal at the same calories I guarantee you would not be dropping weight. Insulin control is the #1 most important factor in weight loss for MOST people, then calories next. Just curious, are you doing IF or like a warrior diet? And what types of carbs are you eating?
Obviously what you are doing is working and you look better than I do but I think keto is most effective for me personally. Everyone is different.

depends on the type of carbs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulin_index and yes I do thats why I asked what type
but as you can see eggs and meat are generally lower
that's not true

Any opinions on the optimal c/p/f ratio for cutting on IF? I've been on 30/40/30 for some time and seems to be working decently but I was wondering if there is anything better. I keep sugar just under 50g/day and eat pretty clean.

I agree with you that it is optimal for gym performance, but IR causes much more than sleepiness. Just google IR symptoms or IR and weight gain. Also, another major factor I forgot to mention is fructose consumption. Fructose is the devil!

Goofed this weekend on Sat and Sun...after a month an half of no cheating...just ate whatever and didn't count calories. I felt like I really needed it though, and now I feel like my body has reset and is ready for the next phase of my cut. I feel bloated today but its whatever. I'm not going to be in a bb competition anytime soon and there's still around 3 months before beach season starts. Going to start incorporation cardio into my workout days..probably every other day around 20-30 minutes on the treadmill. Won't be doing anymore refeeds until after a month or so. Going to eat the same shiz this whole week..macros:
