I used to dip all the time during class in high school. Started out good the first part of class but as time went on i had less and less chances to spit, so ide end up with ballooning cheeks filled with a soup of spit and dip tobacco. It was alright if the teacher left me alone so i didnt have to say anything(and open my mouth and have it all spill out), but this one day the teach targeted me, like 5 minutes left of class and asked me some question. I literally had no room in my mouth not filled with that soup, the teacher and whole class staring straight at me. Had to swallow ALL of it, dip and all. LOL was the most disgusting thing ide ever done. The teacher didnt say anything, but i think she knew what was going on or thought i was batsht insane saving mouthfulls of spit and swallowing it all at once.

Whats the difference? This stuff was called Grizzly something. Had a minty smell.

good ole grizzly wintergreen. Main difference is dip you just put in your cheek and let it sit, its got a finer cut and is imo stronger. Chew is longer thick strands of tobacco usually cured/flavroed with molasses or something like that, that you wad into a ball the size of a golf ball and chew on. Much sweeter tasting and less of the spins.

My head just exploded whilst reading the US Customs laws. Can anyone provide clarification?

It states that any international citizen in transit from Cuba in possession of Cuban cigars is liable for punishment, including forfeiture and fines. However when I checked if I can be in possession of Cubans bought in an international duty free, it said there was no problem.

The whole thing didn't quite make sense, do any non US brahs have experience with this?

I'm flying from Heathrow to Boston on the 28th September and was planning on raiding the duty free, but I also don't want to get infamously obliterated by US customs. I will be in the country a month, from London to Boston, then Boston to LA, then LA to Sydney; so lots of opportunities to be caught.

Wife was gone this weekend so I enjoyed a nice Sir Winston in the living room I dont smoke inside often but when its nice I will open all the doors and windows. Creates a nice wind tunnel and smoke doesnt hang around long. She didnt even know except I left the ashtray on the coffee table. DERP

Well basically it just drys up more and more, you don't chew on it constantly, maybe every couple minutes or so, then you just let it sit there in your cheek and spit. Eventually you'll just grind it up into something that is similar to "dip" and then it's worthless. It's much much less powerful then canned dip, try and find some Redman (Gold preferred but regular is good also), or Levi Garrett Loose Leaf. It's a nice alternative for me when it's to hot/don't have time to smoke a cigar.

You'll get alot of different answers....mainly guys use butane lighters. I have a single torch xikar that works great (Just dont scorch the wrapper). When I cant travel with it I use a BIC (which is butane but probably not as pure as Xikar butane)...long matches work too (sulfur free tips) although it takes longer. Some people can taste the difference, others cant. Try it all and stick with what you like.

glad i found this thread

newbie cigar smoker here and i just tried a couple over the weekend because my friend gave me a couple to try.
I cant remember some of the names of the brands i smoked, but I did like partagas (sp?) and cohiba (sp?). Looking forward to get my own batch and smoke every once in awhile.
I would have never thought i would enjoy smoking cigar, especially since i quit smoking cigarettes and I would clown my friend for buying cigars.
