I fully expect Jones to go for a take-down before the 3:30 mark in the first round, I actually see him shooting from the outside more often than Greco due to Henderson's Olympic level Greco-Roman

I agree it's almost certain to be a TKO stoppage than a "legit" KO. I just find it funny that (some) people are making this distinction now when nobody otherwise seems to particularly give a ****. Mir seemingly never gets knocked out cold for example.

He might. I think it's more likely his gameplan will be: stay on the outside, keep, Hendo at range mostly for the first couple of rounds (though if takedown opportunities are there then go for them), circle away from Hendo's power hand, and kick the crap out of Hendo's lead leg to give him a more pronounced movement advantage and also limit Hendo's ability to land the H-bomb.. After that, once Henderson slows down, I think he really looks to get the fight to the mat and put him away. If I had Jones' physical attributes and skills, I think that's how I would approach it, though I do think a guns blazing approach where you either drop him or take advantage when Hendo wobbles or stumbles and drag him to the mat could work too; it's riskier imo.

Ehh I just like to see competitive fights.
It's not that I dislike Jones as a fighter (as a person, that's a whole different story), but I want to see a competitive 205lb division again.
If Hendo/Machida can't expose some weakness in Jones' game, he pretty much makes the 205 division look pathetic.
A division which many of us, before Jones busted in there, though was the most stacked division.
I just dislike the fact that Jones can make these guys who we all thought were the best in the world look like amateurs.
Its really amazing what he was able to accomplish over his last few fight without showing any major weaknesses.
Also, I'm a huge Machida fan

If Hendo had the kind of gas tank and Greco skills he had in '05, this would be a very scary fight for JBJ. However, age and dwindling grappling will be his downfall.

Bones has 100 ways to win. Hendo has 1.
Bendo will also gas it things go to championship round.....which will not be a problem for jones.
I understand when someone fights a super super dominate champ they like to hype the challenger up so it seems interesting. But even has a hendo fan.........he has a snowballs chance in hell.

I'd have called LW (and still would) the most stacked division, but LHW is a quality division, even if it's somewhat top heavy.
Do you dislike Anderson and GSP? They've essentially done the same thing Jones has, just in somewhat different fashion, but the almost absurd level of dominance applies for all 3.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):

In this one area, it's applicable. If you saw those finishes, you know they stop Dan too...the Matyushenko one in particular was ridiculous. Maybe Henderson takes more shots before caving, but we've seen Hendo work off his back and work at stopping GnP, he's not light years ahead of those dudes from a technical standpoint.

Well, I'm a huge Anderson fan, so I love watching him dominate the division like he has.
GSP didn't exactly bust through the WW division like Jones has; GSP took a couple losses before truly dominating the division.
I loved watching him lose the belt to Serra, then tear through the division to get right back into title contention again.
I would love to see Jones get a loss, then go on a similar tear through the LHW division.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

If you've watched enough of Hendo's fights, he's made a career of getting put on his back by people he shouldn't. Ninja, Shoji, Nakamura, Kondo...Jones is the best MMA wrestler in the division by far. If he wants to take Dan down, he's going to, UNLESS he gets clipped.

Look I think any long term fan of the sport wants hendo to win. Yet even though hendo is in my top 5 favorite fighters of all time I just don't think he has much of a chance.
Hendo winning would be a bigger upset then serra beating gsp. He has a chance like any ufc fighter yet his only viable way of winning is with his hands and that just doesn't seem likely at any point in hendos career.

I predict that Jones will show up to the fight intoxicated, crash his Bentley into the cage, cutting off Hendo's legs in the process, but Dana will let the fight go on anyway, and the next five rounds will be Hendo trying to crawl his way into Jones' Bentley, while Jones is too drunk to figure out how to take off his seatbelt. The fight will finally end in a decision with the double leg Jones scored at the beginning of the bout being the only points scored the entire match, thus Jones wins a 5 round decision.

Eh, that's a stretch.
I say Jones flies into the cage; using his arms as rotors while he spins around. The first round opens with Dan becoming confused by his dementia, resulting in him knocking out Mazagatti. Dana sits ringside complaining about how Steve can't even get KO'd right. Meanwhile, Jones is stumbling all over the place because the fifth of Jack Daniels combined with the human helicopter act is making him dizzy and queasy.
Dan's already exhausted from that one punch, so he lays down and Jones pukes, then passes out on top of him in Dan's open guard. After the round ends, the doctor desides that neither fighter can continue, and it's ruled a no contest. The rematch will be billed by Joe Rogan as the biggest fight in UFC history.Near, far, wherever you are...
