One of the few threads that are gonna teach you how to actually make a little side money, and ****s are saying tldr. Go figure.
Subbed for later reading. I think the hardest part about this is knowing what items to look for. I know you went over it already, but going into detail about that, as opposed to explaining shipping, would probably help people out more IMO.

Great thread Op. Been wanting to do something like this for awhile. I'm a member of some car forums myself, but the people on there seem to price their **** right at market value.
What are the best items besides electronics to flip?
Edit: Just browsed craigslist and I saw a side table from ehtan allen on sale for $15. Did a quick google search and people are selling the same table for $60-90.
Gonna buy it and try to flip it.Last edited by NYY; 03-30-2011 at 12:48 PM.

Good idea OP.... You know how those storage auctions went full retard after the show, and how the price of everything **** recently has skyrocketed because of shows like 'American Pickers'?
Thanks for making it worse.MMMC - Bernie Madoff

For everything. It is not a good thing. It used to be that you could go out and buy restorable things on the cheap, often free, sometimes you would get paid to haul it away. Now people want a grand for it.
For example, go through the motorcycle listings on craigslist. Old, rotted, siezed motored, non titled, common bikes with asking prices of 1k are the norm.MMMC - Bernie Madoff

Good luck. There are still deals, but they're very few, very far between and they're scooped within minutes.. literally. I couldn't even tell you the amount of times that I've contacted a seller within 5 minutes of their ad being posted and getting an "I've got someone coming to look at it in an hour. I'll let you know if they don't buy it.".

U aint Shi1111t OP
I been a hustler on Craigslist since 2005. I recently stopped ebay because you get jipped and scamed both sides. I mainly just buy and resell phones now. Back in 2008, I was making 300-350 per iPhone. So crazy over this BS phone but I was making the money.

Never said I was the shi1111t sir. Just offering advice to others who are interested and want to sell on ebay.
And, I too bought and sold iPhones back in the day. When the first iPhone came out and you could walk into apple and buy one without their stupid limits. Money was made soneBay buy & flip crew

This thread has perfect timing. My family has recently been under some financial stress, so I'm going to put her vintage barbie doll collection on ebay. They are all mint with the box, so I'm hoping to get a pretty penny off of them.
Looking forward to more tips, thanks brah.

You completely failed to see his sarcasm.
What your saying is sort of... basic info any 16 year old knows. No offence, but who doesn't understand the concept of buying low selling high? Thats business 101.
Problem is finding items at low prices (besides buying bulk) otherwise anyone would be doing this. Best thing to do is to find a niche business, tear it up for a month or so and find something else again. (I gave a useful tip about skins for handheld devices there... stuff is hot atm and everybody wants to protect their overpriced cellphones.)
Get a graphic designer and design some nice designs ( go vector, always looks good on white ), find someone that speaks chinese and contact some companies, invest 5000 by letting them print 20 different designs for 1.5 each, sell for 5-10.
There was a topic about his a week ago or something.
Thanks for the posts but it's pretty much basic info.
