Place is full of *******s like you. Granville douches that need a slap. Enjoy your rain and 8 months of indoor activities and super high taxes for nothing.
Anyone with ambition and a way out leaves. Every person I know that has done really well here has done a work stint in the states or left for the states. I'll leave this place to the unfriendly, filthy rich asians and white trash hipsters like yourself.
This about sums it up:

American parent that was in the Navy. I'm considered a citizen born abroad. I was almost actually born in the US, missed it by 2 months lulz.
Canadians with an American parent can be citizens abroad. The other option, if you're a professional is get a TN Visa. I know many people whom have worked in the US on a TN.

HAHHAHA! Like I said, you're a dumbass *******. Keep paying $7 a beer and cowering away from the rain the rest of your life you maggot. I'll be drinking cheap brews in SD while I put together my AR-15 in a 500k condo in La Jolla.
Vancouver is owned by asians, full of bums taking advantage of Canada's least harsh winters that we support with copious amounts of tax dollars and everyone else is just a freak, yuppie or douche (like you).
I'm sure the US welcomes someone like me. Higher income, pay taxes, don't have a record, just want to chill in the sun, work hard and have a good life and freedom to make my own choices, not be told what I have to do by some old grey haired douche like Gordon Campbell.
Edit: Check this ******* out. Guys gets caught for drunk driving in Maui then enacts some of the toughest drunk driving laws in North America. On top of that adds two carbon taxes to gas prices AND 7% sales tax and calls it HST (12% sales tax total).

Vancouver here... and i'll say that 6mnths of the yr it rains , not the best, but the other 6 mnths in the spring/summer are pretty amazing . I lived in San Fran/San jose for abit and it sucked there... way too many people, too much traffic, weather wasn't that great(it was fr*ckin cold in San Fran and rained harder than Vancouver sometimes), chicks were ugly (srs). I'm sure that San Diego is alot better... but, I think everybody has this ILLUSION that California is the best place in the world, which I don't believe it is.
Every climate has pros and cons. Just adapt, shut up and live.

I don't even have a mortgage (srs). I have 10x what you will ever have small fry. I got in the market at it's absolute bottom and made the right choices. Check out where Teck Cominco (TCK.B on the TSX) was in 2008. It was at $4.00/share, it hit $62 a couple months ago.
Do the math *******, you will never be on my level...literally you manlet.

Repped. I'm moving back to the US at the end of the month after a 2 year stay in Vancouver. I don't know how I lasted this long with the weather. I've lived in warmer climates all my life(Raleigh, Atlanta, Vegas) and dude...this constant drizzle sht is for the birds. Good luck in San Diego man...by far my favorite place to visit in Cali.

O'Rly? We pay somewhere around 55% of our income in tax when you consider everything. We support bums and immigrant families that bring their grandparents here for free medical and then they collect welfare on top of it. I don't get up every morning to support losers.
This. The Canadian economy is in good shape but it's all on tax payers backs.

I've seen some of the poorest areas of Georgia/Alabama/North Carolina/South Carolina and those areas are nothing compared to East Hastings. I've never seen such inexcusable poverty in one concentrated area like parts of East Vancouver. The fact heroin users have a union there really puts it all in perspective.Last edited by MercNMuscles; 03-24-2011 at 12:17 AM.

LOL! What a belief system you have. Some people are just leeches plain and simple. Why would immigrant grandparents whom are supported by their children and live in million dollar homes need welfare? Do you know what Cat scans and MRI's cost? They come here because their country won't pay and you tell me you are willing to pay high taxes for LOSERS?
Vancouver is renowned for the amount of bums we have, the amount of drug dealing immigrants and unemployed douches.
You are what's wrong with this country if you think supporting useless leeches improves the country. Get a brain kid.

Van is alright.
depends on what kind of money you make also.
but not like most people live in Van, most ppl are around the suburbs and apartments buildings 5-40 min away from the city.
there's benefits to living in canada,
and there's benefits to living in the us.
big benefit in canada being you can import cars from japan that are 15 years old,
already got my pennies saved up for a r34 gtr... gonna use the supra as the weekend car.

I pay 42% income tax. If you pay a total 55% income tax, go live in ***** or some **** where millionaires are more than welcome. Also, EVERYTHING is all on tax payers backs. Go to USA and the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians is on tax payers backs. I rather save lives than take them, no matter how much of "losers" they are.
