I guess. A TL was in the books for me but I wanted new so I could snag the warranty + they gave me $1500+$3000 cash for my old car that was worth $1000 tops.
Bro has a 07 sti boosted, love the thing. I just had my sites set on a civic, the move to the 2012 was a last second thing.

Ehhh I think ALLOT of people are missing the point with the civic and the Si version.
You really can't do to much more with a 18K-27k car (Those are Canadian prices btw. Oh and before you say "27K for the Si? THATS CRAZY! Trust me, we know haha).
Anyways... For lets say a 23,000. You really cant do that much more to it then honda already has. You can change the design and possibly evolve the concept to bring everything up to date. But you cant do to much more with materials, engines, suspension, ect. It all becomes to pricey. Also compared to a Chevy Cruze would you rather drive that piece of junk or the Civic LX version? Uhh civc will win in quality every day of the week.
Then getting on to the Si version of the car. Let me lay down some canadian figures for you.
Civic Si - $27,385 (Thats with Nav which now comes standard in Canada)
Kia Forte Koup - 26,050 (Ok it has leather and Nav, great package and nice car. But only 173HP and doesn't have nearly the ride quality and performance of the Honda.)
MazdaSpeed 3- $32,400 (So for the extra 5500+ bucks, Yah I'd better damn well get extra HP and whatever)
Genesis Coupe - $29,516( Mmmm, Still $2000 bucks more. Still has 200Hp just like the civic. Little less practical, good deal, really just a matter of opinion compared to the Civic. Doesn't come with NAV though.
So those are just a few comparisons. But think about this for a second. For a brand new car under warranty. 200HP, wicked ride quality, Nav system, great interior, blahblahblah 27,000(CDN) or 23,705(US). Find me another car on the market that has all that for under $27,000 or the US price.
If you want more power. Go buy a MazdaSpeed, it's also THAT much more money. I can't stand about all the automotive journalists who have ZERO sense of reality when they review these cars.
They say "Oh you should buy this car cause its faster and has leather". Yah....BUT ITS ALSO $6000 bucks more then I wanna spend.
For the money, which we all hate to admit is the deciding factor in almost every decision. The Civic Si and even other models is still pretty damn hard to beat.0.05k+ Reppin' back since 2011 (Just ask)

Nice purchase. The white looks pretty good. How is the rear visibility btw? Do you have a spoiler back there? I've been looking at cars ~25k and civic Si was always one of those options but I'm leaning towards a Subaru BRZ/2013 Ford Mustang V6/ Mazda Miata/ used 370z b/c the civic si can get expensive with options.
