No, I would not confront them with the evidence, because then they would know where my cameras are hidden. *They would be confronted however. *
It just happens too often, where we feel like they are not being honest with us about some things. *I'm probably overreacting. *What if I'm not?*

I don't blame you...those are your babies. You have a right to know if they're being honest or not. Would rather feel like I'm overreacting and prove myself wrong than to have a funny feeling about what's going on...even if they are family. Probably would be a good idea to have cameras anyhow, especially if someone outside family ends up babysitting.
Lol...not quite. Bulk diaper time

I have no issue with nanny-camming outside/paid babysitters. They are at best an unknown quantity. I don't know what the exact situation is in cnh's case, but if you have reason distrust the kid's own grandparents as far as doing something truly harmful/neglectful/inappropriate, then you shouldn't be trusting them period.
It just seems like something Ben Stiller would do in a B-grade comedy.

I specifically stated that I don't believe that they are doing anything harmful to them. *It is a matter of the in-laws being honest with us and following our rules for our kids.
They are in my house with my children and if I have a feeling they are being untruthful with me about ANYTHING, then I don't think I'm being too ridiculous with taking it upon myself to find out. *
I have thought about doing this for a while, and for the very points that csb is making, I have not done it. *It still irks me that I feel like I'm not being told the truth. *If I do follow through with this, I hope I'm proved wrong.

went out to store, picked up some groceries..anticipating making some pancakes for dat dere energy.
pour in pancake mix, mix in milk. proceed to fridge to grab 2 eggs. crack the first one; have trouble cracking it, the skin on the inside of the shell is wicked tough. i figure it might just be a tough egg. splat. it cracks open and flies all over the kitchen.
the kitchen immediately stinks like those stink bombs we got as a kid except twice as bad. i look in the bowl; the egg is green/black.
almost throw up (srs)
go back n look at egg carton after i dump the crap outside and clean up.
eggs are 4 months old.

Well bro. What I've learned with my inlaws is just to let them do their thing. If you child is happy to see you when you go to pick them up, that's all that matters. They aren't going to listen to you 100% just like we didn't listen to our parents 100%. But if you trust them, don't worry about it. Just confront them about your concerns and/or questions and leave it at that.

Is the nature of these suspected transgressions serious enough to warrant possibly estranging some of your strongest potential long-term allies?
Unless you really think these (unconfirmed) lapses are really to the detriment of your kids long-term well-being, is it worth the drama?
How easy will it be for you to find a replacement for them? I am assuming they aren't living with you.
Is your wife on board? Is she equally distrustful?
