There is a big change between 5 reps and 20. 20 isn't doing anything but fatiguing your muscles. If you wanna high rep calfs that makes sense, but not really the big muscles. Probably 5-12 reps depending on the exercise, but it's gonna be a little different for everyone. I always make sure I can do 5 squats at least, and at least 8 everything else. My legs grew great.

You can go way deeper. Way. It's not really a flexibility thing. The joint bends that way and you should be able to touch your hammies to your calf if you just squat with no weight. Unless you're like an absolute giant, you can bend your knees like a normal person.
And no, your Knees shouldn't collapse in. When you lift you should drive your feet into the floor like you're trying to spread them further apart.1175 @172

There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Given enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is the true warrior who can master both, and surpass the result.

Pfft, seems noone is doing Dexa scans here in my city, anyone know if inbody 720 is fairly accurate ?
Im guessing im somewhere around 7-9% bf since abs always visible and vascularity like everywhere. The lovely loose skin everywhere makes it a tad harder to tell tho.

it's indoor, so I sort of roam around. the field is much smaller so the positions aren't as concrete as 11 v. 11 outside. A few were luck, a few I made happen.
Really, I just hate hate hate losing.

he's still there.
(tinyfonted because I'm scared. :P)
(tinyfonted because tl;dr)
The shoot ended in November and I’m back at home now! It was surreal and exciting working with people who’ve entertained me for years, but it was also grueling and I’m glad it’s over. The director of photography introduced me to the co-directors as a good friend, so they were more aware of me than they otherwise might have been given my position. We had a small crew so it was a unique experience for someone like me who’s not in the industry. I got to chitchat with the co-directors a bit, study their storyboards, and on our last day I even got a hug from one of them - the one who has given talks on screenwriting that I've attended. Plus, one of the actresses knew my name! It was kind of hard to miss since I was working up close with the camera crew. At the snack table I stole a moment to tell her how much I enjoyed her work and got a warm response. She and one of the male leads goofed a lot and were a lot of fun on set. Unfortunately, the other lead actress got really sick a few days in so we all took care to give her space. She's been around a lot longer and I’ve loved her work as well, but she’s older now and little things would set her off. Completely understandable given how sick she was. I did get to participate in a little joking around with her the first day but that was about it.
From an artistic perspective, the set was amazing and the dp was really talented. I've known him for years since he went to film school with my brother, so it was fun watching him at work with this group. I could hear from the co-directors that they loved his work even though they had their disagreements (to be expected), and I got to watch pretty much everything being filmed from several angles - from directly behind the camera people and through the live feed on the monitors. The performances of the actors impressed me as well. From the directors I finally learned that they plan to release several short films packaged together.
At lunch I got to hear stories about what it’s like to work in the business and tbh, unless I was involved above the line, I wouldn’t want that life. I’ve had aspirations to write off and on, but it’s my brother and his wife who are truly in the business (well, trying to make their way in the business) from the writing/directing side.

I wonder why all the girls/women in my gym do resistence training with machines, but not with free weights? I think both is better than one or the other. Usually I start with free weights, and I top it off with machine work.
But then again they do free weights in this class "Body Pump" but it's pretty ridiculously high rep.
There is 1 female that I see in the free weight section sometimes. But the only thing she does is squats, only squats nothing else. And some older out of shape woman who uses tiny weights, her husband keeps perving at me ever since I warned them (as a couple) about behind the neck pulldowns. Only because I was running on the treadmill and they were right in front of my view, like 1 meter in front of my eyes/treadmill and it was painful to keep looking at them doing this poor exercise and not saying anything lol. After which they continued, oh well, if their tricep attachment ligament tears up, I warned them. It's really annoying.Last edited by justanothagirl; 12-05-2012 at 06:56 AM.
