Everyone is the same here. People live in their small worlds and are narrow minded. Being black is the only possible way to be diverse and everything/everyone else doesn't register on people's radars. It's like the midwest.
Glad someone else sees it, too. My (white) friend who moved here from San Diego also agrees.

You said you were in hellhole as well the other day, didn't know you meant this one! lol
Yeah I have also noticed that there are like...five black people in the whole town. I been living in Phoenix so I am used to just about every sort of nationality there is....yeah, this place is weird. My mom's neighbor is from Africa though, so it's nice to chat with him when I go over there haha. So you been here long?I'm back?

Haha I know the feeling. I talk and act like I am from Arizona because at this point I kind of consider myself to be. No one really knows me here anymore. Deep, dark secret: I spent 17 years in Spokane...not proud lol. Wasn't a lot I could do about it since I lived with my mom and went to school though lol. Definitely get out of here though, lots of good things can happen ;+D
I'm back?

Not sleeping at night. Dog-sitting my roomie's pup while she's out of town for a week. This pup is about 13, and drags his feet on the ground. We have wood floor. And he paces. All.Night.Long. And, he drinks out of the toilet, which I honestly don't care about. Except when he does it at 2 am for 5 mintues. SLURP SLURP SLURP DRAG DRAG DRAG....

Yeah, I hear you on this - not while getting changed. I don't want to acknowledge other people in the locker room, much less have to say the awkward 'uh, thanks' while trying to make my way to the shower. Granted I've never been complimented while getting changed at the gym. I did have one guy decide to lecture me about the weight I was using 'it's too much/dangerous' or whatever, which struck me as bizarre since I wasn't working out with that much AND I was in the power rack while doing it. If I had failed, the bar would have hit the pins and not pinned me. He was something like 60 years old.
Yeah, it was disturbing. Sick crap like that has actually happened (have you heard about what happened to Turing, for example?).
On a side note, my friend in High School (so, 1995ish) told me about his mom being committed and having electro shock therapy to get rid of all her bad memories. He said that she couldn't remember my friends childhood at all.
Scary stuff.
