Yeah it's a constant battle for me. I was already feeling self conscious about fat gains before the comment. And honestly the snoring does concern me. I started back on the name brand allergy pills today so we will see. I know ffb syndrome is a bog part of it but I feel like I've gained considerable fat

snoring is keeping you from bulking to maximize gains? freaking snoring? you're not going to develop OSA from minimal fat gain. fat-attributed OSA develops amongst the morbidly obese. you won't develop that from gaining 10 pounds

I suffered from sleep apnea before. It was pretty tough. I'm not saying that's the only factor but it is concerning. Not something I want to come back. Its a confluence of factors that have me considering it. Nothing has been decided.
Vitor tell me the date you picked and ill make sure to keep bulking past then so you lose.
I appreciate all the feedback. Especially the bluntnessPL Log

You need to figure out what you want.
Do you want to look like you lift or do you want to look like a kicker?
Do you want to hit PRs or do you want to bench more than you squat?
Do you want to complain about being "fat" or do you want to complain about being hungry?
It's time to choose. Stop spinning your wheels, pick a goal, and smash it."Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain

You know theres a bulking category, right?
And if its really all bothering you this much, you could go on a quick, aggressive cut. I'm talking 1-2 weeks, but dropping >5lbs. You'll be surprised what 2 aggressive weeks will do. Then, submit pictures for the competition but enter bulk competition. Then bulk for 3 months and profit. Think of it as a quick "clean up", and then continue on with bulking properly for another 3 months MINIMUM.
It feels like you are going to start cutting soon one way or another, and I think spending ~2weeks and being quick would suit you better than another long, slow cut.Transformation Journal:

tbh I hate having a gut. It is definitely my mind messing with me. Partly impatience and partly ffb. I know maintenance isn't for me. I need to be progressing one way or another.
May consider a quick cut but after my boss just said "he's kinda like you" and used the word lanky I want to go full fulk modePL Log

I saw your progress pics not long ago. You do NOT have a gut. That's skin and everybody has skin covering their bones and muscles. Without it you would look gross.
Some people (myself included) always look like they have a little gut. I weighed 140 pounds and had a gut. Only it wasn't a gut. It's how I'm shaped. Very few people have flat stomachs that descend from chest to pubes in a perfectly straight line perpendicular to the ground. Most of us have that little outward push. Part of it is being a human being and part of it is posture. Know how to get rid of it? Line it with muscle! Ever see some of the big huge dudes? They don't have a six pack, yet their stomachs look flat. It's because there's so much fuking muscle there that you don't even notice the normal amount of fat they have.
Just the way I see things.Few things are set in stone, except that you have to squat or you are a pussy. - Mark Rippetoe
