Updates end abruptly.
BilltheBro and I were taken off the list about two weeks ago because I had a misunderstanding about the dangers of backpage and similar sites. We would like to re-enter the competition because we both did not jerk off nor viewed porn after that incident. Bill is at day 49 and I'm at day 28. If no one objects, we will be put back in the competition. (This decision ends May 4th)

Some great advice from Megapump:
-Edging for a minute will lead to going all the way.
-If you allow yourself once to edge for a minute you will allow yourself again and again. Its a bad habit.
-Dont allow yourself to fap for a minute or a second. Its a fail.
-Keep it in your pants and dont take it out and dont touch it.

My problem is I replaced a porn fapping addiction with another addiction (internet). Pretty sure I'm somewhat genetically inclined to being addicted since everybody in my family is or has been a drunk or drug addict. I don't drink to avoid getting into alcohol addiction though.

I'm on Day 82 of my own no fap challenge - admittedly I've looked at porn now and again during this time so I won't consider myself part of this official Misc challenge. Even still: I just want to tell everyone (especially in the early days) that doing no fap is completely worth it. I've hit Day 30 and even Day 60 before, but getting past Day 80 this time has a totally different effect. It's literally like my brain rewired itself. I have more energy, more confidence (women and in general), I pick up on women being interested, more of a don't give a **** attitude, awesome workouts, I only need about 6 hr sleep per night, and sex with the girlfriend is amazing. Most interestingly is an increased ability to focus - I literally can tune in to whatever I'm doing. It's pretty interesting.
Keep in mind you are going to hit ****ty times. I found getting past Day 14, 30, and 60 particularly bad. Sexual frustration, tension, inability to sleep... I don't know what happens at those times, some brain rewiring or something. I honestly think you're getting used to having less dopamine flooding the brain. But just get past it! The end is worth it, keep that in mind.

you know you have a problem when you spend more than 1 hour fapping, going through video after video to find the "right" one. Not only that, it's everyday.
I've relapsed so many times, but I'm positive on this one. Deleted internet history and everything.
May 1st - Day 1.
short term goal: no fap may
long term goal: 90 days
things to do/achieve:
- strictly no ******** on pc and only mobile - this really helped in the past
- unfollow Dan Blizerian, vitaly, etc off instagram
- consistent 4 days a week gym, no excuses
- manual labour work (currently employed)
- new friends at university
- improve 2nd language
- get a gf

Will be logging here daily (similar to what I use to do back in the golden days when I reached day 185 and achieved so much). Good to see a few of the members here that still participate in this challenge; even more motivation for me. Day 1, it begins again.
Short term goal: Dust off 30 days of May (should be a breeze).
Medium term goal: 90 days (arbitrary number, no big deal).
Long term goal: Surpass 185 days (my ultimate desire).
Other things I'd like to accomplish:
- Execute entrepreneur/business idea.
- Complete the rest of Sem 1 Uni Masters with Distinction average.
- Walk in like a boss during Graduation with a whole month of no fap under my belt; would feel epic.
- Find a new part time/casual job.
- Day 1 of cutting begins too (for Armin Only; time to get shredded again) - Update myfitnesspal daily, eat maintenance cal.
- Fix up sleeping patterns; wake up 6am
- Learn a 2nd language.

I'll list some of that stuff I accomplished Since starting no fap like 3 years ago since v1
- Slightly lower standards
- Smashed bishes, lost v card
- Got in best shape of my life
- stepped up my cardio game
- graduated from a tough program
- got the job I always wanted
- better relationships with friends and family
- got a gf
Well that was then. I've been in a slump lately, can't even remember my last nofap run. I'd like to get back to that old me.
New Goals:
- find more compatible gf
- promotion or better job
- improve social life, make some new friends
- smoke less weed
- get in amazing beach shape
- start a business on the side
- read books
I'm glad so many of you are still keeping this going. It is much more than placebo or anacdotal evidence. The only tough part is the sexual frustration, when you think you'll get to smash but don't uhhggg.
I find meditation to really help suppress urges, might take up yoga again nohomo.

Ok about the benefits. This was what I noticed, I felt a lot more motivated in the gym. I started getting alot more things done at work and at home. I started becoming interested in hobbies that I had kind of lost interest in.
