Dude, it's Ultra. If I wanted a country concert I'd go down the street to Fort Worth. People go to Ultra to hear EDM sets, not some **** like this. It's not bad music, but it's WAY out of place, and line for that matter. I bet the producers of UMF weren't expecting this.

country maybe, but from what I saw it was like he was trying to infuse EDM with country, and while that's prob not the right move because its country and country is pretty awful in general (sorry country fans, purely opinion), at least he's trying something different for ****s sake, like the current state of EDM is depressing, like straight up comparing this years ultra to last years is almost laughable at this point

I do also love Trance, but Tech-house/deep is just something I'm feeling more right now.

I don't want to hear the innovative argument. He's no Daft Punk. If he wants to be original and try something new, he could try stopping all of his tracks from sounding the same by using more different sounding beats and synths.

huh? what he was playing WAS pretty much country, I thought it before I read you said it and unless your whole argument was sarcasm then your point remains the same so my reply does as well.

vibe might have died after his set but if I was at the mainstage and heard 12 hours of the same songs over and over I would probably kill myself

You've hit the nail on the head with the drop issue. Nothing wrong with a good drop, but a drop isn't necessary every other minute.

Incidentally, some great drops in some techno tracks. See Sven Vath's Boiler Room set for proof of that.
