You have to! They guys should too! Thank you, he just had knee surgery so was hobbling around.
Yes that was happening but not helping ha.
Well hey there!!
NYLO Southside I had never stayed there before but loved it. They had an industrial modern thing going on I loved so much. I guess it used to be an old warehouse.
This was in the lobby they had a pretty chandelier and a graffiti piano and these cool cigar couches as you walked in.
Downstairs restaurant... I think I ordered one of everything with goat cheese

Friday May 16th
I was getting sort of frustrated kept failing a lot in the hole. So I framed all my catches fails and good lifts. This was extremely helpful it looks to me I'm not necessarily coming up on my toes its more catching it on the inside of my foot, making the left side of my foot come up. This could mean that my knees are not staying out on the catch. I also could benefit from more foot slam ensuring my feet are down. Also holy elbows. I think this is the root of my problem they should be more up. So I need to work on getting them around faster. Every frame my elbows are directly down, my heels are up.
Swoosh! There's my other lulu purchase the blue shorts.

You're so nice! Yes ma'am they had a sweet pepper sausage goat cheese, and arugula pizza! Divine... of course I took the arugula off I was on an unhealthy mission. The next morning I got it in my omelet. I need to find that stuff here. I have a feeling that me cooking with it however will not be as successful.
meow.
I know... was interesting though for sure! Was your mind biloooown. I keep trying to make hubz listen to it. He rejects anything coming out of my mouth.
Cool. The bar upstairs is called soda bar.
Yay I need to find you. Hair- for that I used a one inch curling iron (so small for how long my hair is) curled it with the curling iron vertical but I only roll it up until like 3 inches away from the roots (depending on your length.) so curl the ends only. Especially the two front pieces I leave like 5 inches out. curl everything working bottom up. Leave it while doing makeup (or 15 min to cool completely). rake through with fingers.. spray viola. It's tighter when you first do it then loosens up as the day goes on. This was after the Europa (so all day) and I ran a soft bristle brush through it touched up the front pieces before we went out.
Oh no girl you have to lay out! It's not as busy in here as it used to be
Thank you!!
So guys I have been eating 'maintenance' 2000-2250 since I got back from Europa. All the yummy foods again. I can see colors!! Sadly the abs are starting to disappear bishes! Im hoping maybe it's mostly water and after it gets used to the influx that should fade some. Debating on doing the BPI challenge since the end date is our CA beach trip, for extra motivation. If I did I'd pig out until Sunday, gotta love those fatty bloaty before pics Then probably 1800 2 weeks 1600 2 weeks and 1400 ish (maybe two refeeds a week) for the last 2 weeks. Thoughts? Anybody else doing it. Then enjoy and eat whatever the fuks I want on vacation.Last edited by Boomer29; 05-16-2014 at 11:51 AM.

Nice looking couple..
Good catch on the elbow down thingy.. If elbows are down, the body will tend to follow them.. But honestly, in your case, I think it's the other way around. I have a feeling your torso is tilting forward not because your elbows are down. Rather, your torso is tilting forward as a result of residual carryover from your low bar back squat days.. So another great thing you switched to high bar..
No sweat.. It's an easy fix. It's all mental.. Besides, it's time to work on your third pull anyway.. You know how I always harp on the 'chest up' cue in the first and second pull? Chest up also applies in the third pull.
So, to fix this issue, instead of making a conscious effort to keep 'elbows high,' focus on keeping your chest up during the ENTIRE movement - from first pull to third..
Imagine the following:
You are a redhead Barbie, only prettier and more jacked. Imagine that there is a vertical tube (like a toilet paper tube) big enough to wrap around your torso. Imagine that your torso, while the tube is in a vertical position, is sliding down thru the tube. So once you pop your hips in the second pull, focus on sliding down the vertical tube.. If you do this, I bet your elbows will follow, instead of the other way around..
Thank you, once again, CrossFit, for preaching low bar back squat!! Cuz now we gotta undo your mess! Not hating on CF, just keeping up with the love-hate tradition between CF and WL..This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..

I registered had 4000 cals on Saturday 398 of which were carbs... I can't walk
Hey, hey!! Welcome!!
Until Sunday?!
Just brush it out if it's too much. It'll get looser. I agree videoin is the most helpful.
lol okay got it will give it a go... LBBS was actually from my powerlifting days. I switched to HBBS shortly after I joined CF...
Yup. Thank you so much we had a great time!!
We are flying into San Francisco spending two days there then heading to Santa Margarita about 4 hours South... It's by SLO the halfway point between LA and Sanfran. Anywho it's my great grandparents 70th wedding anniversary!!! They are both in their 90s so it will be a family trip. My son makes the 5th generation. It is rare we are all together. I just love it there though. I'm trying to convince my hubz to move there when they kick. He's very attatched to his parents though who live where we are know.
It's just my kind of living very secluded. The house is at the base of a mountain. tons of land. they have a barn, garden. used to have an apple orchard until my grandpa got too old to maintain so they chopped it down. They used to raise Barbados sheep too, they sold them all though. Occasionally they take care of goats when someone needs the land.
They live up on the hill then my gooma and goompa live down the hill. It's pretty awesome. It gets super hot but pass over the mountain 15 min and cool ocean pacific breeze. and beach!
I would hate to see them chop up the land and sell but it's too much for them to take care of on their own. I've already volunteered to go... but my grandparents are very stubborn about accepting help so we will see what happens. They've already sold a 1/4 of it... then they have a rent house at the bottom. I will make sure to take lots of pics.Squat 275 Bench 175 Deadlift 285 Snatch 140 Clean & Jerk 185

HHBS
wu sets pausers 135x3 225x2<-- even that felt heavy

260x3 really had to grind these out so I stayed here.
Split Jerks
wu sets 125x3
135x3
155x2
135x3
155x2
hmmm. everything was really shakey jiggly dunno nothing was sticking. I think my eyes were still closed. Took along time for my shoulders to warm up. I should have done more 'light' sets. Everything felt so heavy and even the re racks were labored... I'm gonna chalk it up to still tired and ate entirely way too much food this weekend. // severe bloat of piece.
HS Walks-- these are going to be the death of me!!
WOD
noon
21 95lb/135lb snatches
20 DUS
15 snatches
40 DUS
9 snatches
60 DUS
13:40-- broke up into sets of 3... stuck to that game plan except the last 3 got 2,1. Still going wide to catch these when tired even tho I had every intent not to.
3 rounds for time
25 plate burpees
12 pistols
9:36
Went to a local competition on Friday to cheer on my baby bro and his teammate sean which is my teammate on the 4s competition we usually do. 'Baby Klokov' This one was same gender pairs only and started at 7pm lasted until 2:00 am! They were at a disadvantage as the comp was pretty much purely strength and they are smaller athletes 160 and 180. It was pretty cool to see them hold their own against some of the monsters that were there. I really needed another girl to do this with me it was literally a comp written for me Kinda the down side of not having any competitive girls.
It was really cool though I took a vid for yall so you can see what these garage gym comp's are like. I didn't get the crowd behind me. But it's really cool to see the community come together to cheer for all the athletes reguardless of what 'box' you belong to.
Took these during this WOD
12min AMRAP
30 Cleans (95/65)
20 KB Swings (53/35)
30 Cleans (135/95)
20 KB Swings (53/35)
30 Cleans (185/115)
20 KB Swings (53/35)
30 Cleans (225/135)
20 KB Swings (53/35)
30 Cleans (245/155)
20 KB Swings (53/35)
AMRAP Cleans (275/175)
They made it to the 225 cleans and got 24 of them I think. This broke my bro. Was having to squat clean the last 10 and they were like 6 second ascents. I swear he was gonna pass out but nope kept trucking. He got the last one as the buzzer rang after his partner had failed it. Was pretty cool to watch. I was really proud of him. He did go throw up immediately after that lol. That was the bottom left pic.
http://www.********.com/groups/33961...group_activity
Here's his finish.
Only one group made it to the 245 round and they got two... The dudes on their teams were monsters 260 and 220. The guy was power cleaning them all and they were just trading off rep for rep. They crashed on the endurance aspect tho'. Rocky the same guy at the last comp that power c and j 315 was on their team.

That WOD looks brutal, but actually looks like something I would want to try. lol. If it doesn't have burpees or pull-ups, I'll try it. haha.

Do it! The only sucky aspect doing it alone is that you would have no partner to trade off swings cleans with. Double suckage.
Thank you maam!
I like the tube to I was using it on my pistols today.
haha true story... Other truth is I had 4100 calories on Sat 398 of which were carbs... DIRTY I was literally to bloated/gassy to stay tight during anything. My morning coffee and go... straightened me out.
And yes I do normally jump from 135 to 225... sometimes I throw 185 in the middle if the hip is wonky but I normally don't need it. Maybe I should have tried that today. Just had no way of knowing until I descended on the 225 and was like fuk!Squat 275 Bench 175 Deadlift 285 Snatch 140 Clean & Jerk 185
