Please look here, notice that the probability of getting 3 of one kind, is equal to the probability of getting any other combination. And note that on every individual flip, the probablity is 50/50.



I should also note that alot of you are saying 'but there is more change of getting 3 heads and a tail than all heads, this is true if you discontinue time from the equation. The change of getting 2 heads, one tail is 3/8. The chance of getting H-H-T in that exact order is 1/8.
