verrrry nice decline pressing and congrats on the PP PR.
I'm really surprised at the weight difference though. Why's the PP so low compared to your benching?

Thanks pez!
I think there are a couple of reasons...
- I've had a history with my left shoulder, and that stopped me from ever going heavier on OHP.
- I've never trained push press until I got with Wade
- I'm pretty sure my triple PP could be higher, but I've been a bit inconsistent over the past while, affecting my press
- My bench has like, exploded, insanely. Up until earlier this year I'd never been able to get myself past 195x5. Now I'm sure I could t'n'g that for a couple of sets.

Eeek! Shoulder issues are not to be messed about with as I'm sure you know. But, in my opinion as long as there isn't any tear or impingement the best remedy is to strengthen the area. Slowly if necessary.
Keep it up and you'll be push pressing 165x3 n no time flat.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153427731&page=1

Was planning to hit squaterday last night, but had to Adult™ last night, and ended up not being able to go. Packed my gym bag this morning, with some extra food, and will be squatting before getting home.

I hate when Real Life gets in the way of Fun Life.
Right now I have no idea. I guess I really didn't ever know singles.
Back in the day when I was lifting my bests were bench 210x5 and OHP 142x5 i believe. I've never push pressed for any amount of time.
Currently OHP at 112x3x5 and bench at 150x9 but I've only been back to lifting for about 2 months and only benched 5 times. Soooooo.....
I always thought my ratio from when I was lifting was fairly normal. I thought with a bench at 240x1 Mat would have a strict press around 155x1 so I was surprised to see a 140x3 push press PR. That's all, no judge.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153427731&page=1

I've had issues, which we're working around But OHP isn't a Main Lift anyways, so I don't really give a poopy bottom if it's close to, or way behind, my bench. I'm just stupid happy that everything is progressing!!!
I know you're not judging

I'm still lifting. I actually peaked to the numbers you see in my sig and then I decided to take a few weeks off from heavy lifting/volume to allow a hip flexor to heal up. Now, I'm just trying to get myself back in the mood to squat and bench 3 times a week with deads twice a week

Not at all
Keep in ind, he is pre exhausted when we do this so, while he may set a pr single, for example, it's done after his sets on decline which the triceps are a primary mover. I would say with just warming up and prepared, he'd press more without the pre exhaustion from the declines.Squat: 1,040

Squats
2016-09-28
Warm up:
Bike: 8 min @10
Standing Hypers: 2 x 12
BAR ONLY: 5 x medium, 5 x comp, 5 x wide
Comp. Squats: 135 x 3, 185 x 1, 215 x 1
PR: 355 x 1
240 x 6 x 2
275 x 1
Paused Squats: 185 x 2 x 3
Medium Squats: 225 x 3 x 6
Wide Squats: 115 x 10, 115 x 10
At this point, Wade asked me to put my oly shoes back on, take a wider stance (less wide than sumo), and vid singles at 135, 185, 225.
My comp stance has now changed to this wider stance with toes pointed well out.
Hammer curls: 15 x 3 x 12
Leg curls: 115 x 3 x 12
Toe raises: BW x 3 x 15
Abs: Chair: 105 x 4 x 25
VIDEO:
Notes!
- Long vid, sorry not sorry
- So my comp stance has changed, seeing as I've been having trouble keeping my chest up and leading with my head
- Wade realised it on the wide sets, had me change back into my oly shoes and coached me through the stance change
- Crazy how much it changes my balance and ability to keep my knees out...

It must be cool to have a coach to give instant feedback about how you're lifting. I just have my wife, who usually just wants a kiss.

Well, instant is subjective, really... Wade lives in Tennessee, and I usually get to the gym late so we're not always connected while I'm lifting. So, the days when I can get in a bit earlier and Wade can take a few minutes to look at my vids is pretty awesome
Name of the Wind... that's part of a series, is it not? I think I'd started reading it a while back. I'm actually making my way through The God Engines, part of the Academy series, right now.
I have a feeling they're going to...

This is why I'd love to be able to have the technology to do a clinic in the gym while my group is training so we could answer questions and so forth.
Being able to watch video while Matt trained and be able to answer is big and I was able to talk him through it almost live.
I need a little more know how on what type of tech to get and how to use it.Squat: 1,040

Gonna drive. It's 16 hours, but I'm going to plan a stop-over in Toronto, stay with my sister for a night, then finish the drive the next day. Probably do the same on the way back.
Might see if Mr. The Beast wouldn't mind a fly-by from me for a bite to eat or something.Proud member of Team Ogre
