I get such a boner opening my portfolio these days. I think we’re good until March or 28k before a sizable dip. And by sizable I’m talking about panic selling on bs news because fundamentally, there’s nothing for US shares markets to be bearish about.

Marijuana is such a dangerous poison. I’d never invest in such stocks out of principle.

I hate to call tops but we are in the most massive bubble of all time ( I think its true) but will stay long.
Weed got me thinking this. My friend who invests heavily thinks its going to be a massive industry, which is true.
However there is a massive SUPPLY issue due to the fact weed can be made relatively easily....barrier to entry is quite low and its cheap. Now you have lots of producers flooding the market will it.
Its not like oil where its quite difficult to get out......and supply caps get hit. Everyone will keep selling and eventually all regions will be flooded and its so easy to get price gets driven down
Yet you have companies trading like they are the next Googl.
this next correction will be nasty (that being said I will hold through it and take the 50-60% hit and keep buying) but some of these names are going to blow up
edit: double leverage is fueling this rally too since we know its impossible for the FED to let it collapse on us now. You can essentially take out a loan and use that to gain margin in your brokerage account.
Pretty much a game of chiken and you can make the most $$$ @ this point in the cycle as just about everything will go up

Got a question for you experienced bros who Buy/Sell daily. My brokerage account is with Vanguard.
I have 5 shares of an ETF (VOO), 150 shares of (ACBFF), and 2-3 stocks I have.
So I've bought these and just sat on them. But what if I want to take out profits in case I feel one of these stocks is going to go down?
-What is the fee or taxes involved with this?
- Is it worth pulling out daily and rebuying if things dip? the taxes, and fees don't eat into your profit doing this often?
- Now that my brokerage account is worth 3-4k, If I DON'T take out or sell anything... DO I need to report anything or do anything different on my taxes? Are you not entertained?

Meh. I think we just trudge higher and higher for quite a few more years. If anything, we're gonna see huge panic sell offs that are just gonna be nothing more than amazing BTFD opportunities. I'm expecting a couple such sell offs this year but overall higher highs and lower lows. Think the 400 point reversal we got in December from the fake Flynn news.
I actually bought more SPY calls that day and sold them today for a 500% return, lol.

I just don't see the economic indicators that will lead to this big collapse. Maybe there will be a correction, but a 50%-60% drop just doesn't seem imminent. Things are overvalued, doesn't mean I'll pull out anytime soon.

Those SQ calls I sold yesterday at 1.74 a piece hit like 4.00+ today
bitched out right before the pay day.
Nice and easy 4 bagger for 2 weeks holding depending on the expiry. $34 to $40 gets you these returns.
i think this is why I don't fomo those alt coins and the coin game, retarded moves like this happens in options land all the time.
most of the times the obvious "supports" are areas that you stop out and puke up your position and they empty you out before the reversal.

tough... These companies would be a home run if price was actually increasing (like oil companies) oil prices were going up as were sales= why we hit some massive home runs in oil
But with weed...we have supply surging....prices declining rapidly....margins declining....DEMAND is strong (just how much is the ?)
that is why I am uber cautious. If weed prices were going up..then yes I would be all in APHRIA/ACBFF
I guess their could be buyouts......but I feel big tobacco can wait

the problem is growth....and the issue massive gap with taxes
we are going to be like greece in a year. The only way out is to inflate the USD...which will cause PP to decrease and a whole heap of issues.
Right now the consensus is PRAY that spending/tax cuts fuels the economy like never before and more revenue will cover the gap. If that fails we are so fooooked. I think we need around 4% GDP

Jeff Sessions was mad he missed out on them so he had to manipulate the market so he could jump in on them at a cheaper price

Yeah, I think the US$ rally will be extremely powerful and will break the economies of many countries world wide.... However I don't really care what fundamentals will be that say "growth and all that shows and overvalued stock market." Trump's tax cuts are positive enough to keep the US economy healthy, meanwhile the rest of the westernized world keeps trying to hike taxes. Their govts. will go bust due to rising interest rates and dollar and eventually their investors will lose confidence in them and will stick their money in the US markets. So even if Americans are bearish, we'll have foreigners propping up the prices.

Well said,
Allot of what's driving our markets is foreign investing. And the world economy is growing rapidly, look at countries like China. I say 2018 is going to be another huge year for the stock market and a big reason will be other countries putting their money into the US.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

It depends on your income tax rate, what kind of account they’re in, how long you’ve held them etc...
Look up ‘capital gains’ (long and short term). It will be easier for you to read about it and apply it to your situation than for me to explain it blindly to you. If you have questions about breaking some things down, then don’t hesitate to ask.
*Dividends are treated as income regardless if you reinvest or not, but again you may not have to claim them depending on your situation.
Eveyone is different so it’s hard to say anything without knowing a lot about their specific situation.
