Yeah I would. I was disappointed in the movie. It was slow for the most part. Wasn't that scary because you knew it was all fake. I would wait to see it on DVD
.....
So A Perfect Getaway just got released on DVD. I'm going to watch it tonight. Anyone see it, thoughts?

i agree,,,and they could have done much more with those night scenes as well. The build-up was way too prolonged, and they could have went further with it as well. I kept waiting to be shocked-however, that one night scene was pretty good. But they could have done alot more with it.

This is where i say something clever.

I just got done watching The Perfect Getaway. I was shocked at how good of a movie it was. The ending surprised me I was entertained the whole way through. I recommend it.
7.5/10.

Having a horror movie day:
Saw zombieland today - was halarious, some of the best zombie makeup i've seen in movies.
just watched trick r' treat - good movie overall I thought, had some lulz (not really scare, just some cool special effects, had a decent story)...
Right now, I'm watching seventh moon w/ amy smart (girl from crank)..will post a little review of how I liked it.

So I did what I said and skipped Paranormal Activity this weekend.
Instead, I watched a flick called "Laid to Rest," which has been in my Netflix instant queue for a little while now.
I'd give it a solid 8/10. Think "Hatchet" without the humor element. Some pretty realistic looking kills, a fairly iconic serial killer and even (shudder) somewhat of a plot.\m/

k...almost 3/4 the way through seventh moon - IMO don't watch, kinda lame/not scary at all, basically, naked white maneating Chinese people, movie is slow to build up momentum. 3/10***

* PARANORMAL ACTIVITY SPOILERS BELOW!*
Just got back from seeing it and it shook me pretty good, especially that ending. There aren't too many horror films that really "scare" me, per se, but this one and the similar Blair Witch did. I especially liked the scenes where Katie just stood staring at Micah for hours on end while he slept. Very clever. The producers did with one $15K film what other directors couldn't achieve with several big-budget clunkers.

About to watch Dead Snow.
Super excited. But it's 4:30am so I have a feeling I'll be finishing it tomorrow.
I'm going to the Rue Morgue Magazine halloween party next weekend. There is always people in attendance that I want to do the whole, "omg, I loved your movie/book/whatever" to and get a photo but I always chicken out. :/ Let's hope I grow a pair for this year.

ok - been a while but here's wsup
www.amctv.com has some good insta-play b-movies - good horror stuff!
while down with bronchitis last week I managed to watch seasons 1 and 2 of Dexter. I know a lot of you like it in here. I liked it too, and wil watch the rests of the seasons. my only problem with the sow is that its not quite as smart as it wants to be... there are a lot of holes and things that dont really add up. I woulndt normally care about these but The Wire kinda ruined shows for me as it was always technically perfect in every aspect.
onto the movies:
Frontiers: bored me to death. I never finished it as I fell asleep... but it was a bunch of french people who I have no sympathy for. I was rooting for the Father Nazi guy and then I fell asleep cuz he was being a btch. skip this unlessu loved martyrs, which i also thought was sht movie.
Welcome to Spring Break: decent 80's slasher. a whodunnit with bikers, 80's boobies, and a college 80's football hero. Check it out if you like John Saxon (enter the dragon, nightmare on elm st)
The Children: its english people so again, im not sympathetic. I was glad for anyone who got killed cuz they were annoying me everytime they talked with those stupid accents. some kills were good... but if u wanna see a good kid kiler movie, rent Devil Times Five. now thats awesome sht. Skip The Children
Afraid of the Dark: aint it cool really liked this one... but I thought it was sht. its basically 2 movies in one, with the 1st movie being a 45 minute fantasy, and then the second half is the kid not fantasizing and all the same cast is in it. but now they are a bit different. Watch this if you like retarded "twist" movies
Cameron's Closet: 80's cheese! not so bad its good, but so bad its decent. I wouldnt go out of my way to watch this, but if its ever on tv it might be worth a look if your bored. This kid opens a portal to hell in his closet with his telekinetic powers by accident.
making contact: Holy SHT! this movie scared the sht out of me as a kid, and it still did this year. u have to get it on VHS tho. there is a doll in it and its scary looking and mean. MUST WATCH movie.
The Burrowers: I thought this was going to be a "western/Zombie" movie, but it was just set in the 1800's with a bunch of pussies getting killed by things u dont see until the end. when you do see them , son am disappoint. Skip it. If you want to see a bugnuts awesome western/zombie movie, get the one i previously reviewed, Undead or Alive
Carver: pretty cool and gross low budget backwoods family horror. U should watch this, its pretty entertaining
Behind the mask: the rise of leslie vernon: I rather enjoyed this mockumentary that turns into a str8 up slasher movie. its silly at first, and then draws u in and becomes pretty damn cool. it was a unique idea, and executed well. I recommend it. However I must say, the first 15 minutes u may find yourself saying "man, this is gonna be corny"... it stops being corny
my best friend is a vampire: good pg fun. i loved it cuz it was nostalgia for me. but fun none-the-less... however if u only have room for one kiddy type movie, go with making contact or monster squad.
Bachelor party in the bungalow of the damned: SUCKS. do not watch. fck it fck it fck it.
Strange Behavior: fun 80's movie. has some sorts of "twists" but they're disclosed early. worth a look, another unique idea plus its 80's fun.
Silent Rage: chuck norris vs michael myers. MUST WATCH.you should read this

I saw Paranormal Activity last night.
and.....
son I was disappoint.
Only 1 part kind of freaked me out, but I was never "scared" during the movie.

See... stuff like that really gets me too. I guess different people require different things to creep them out, some need the blood and guts, some need things popping out (the cheap scares), and some need the minuscule stuff like Katie just standing for hours, staring at Micah, or in Blair Witch Project, for example, that dude just standing in the corner. I don't know why... but that just weirds me the **** out lmao. It's a different kind of "fear" I suppose.
But I heard you give your favorite producer
head in trade for his creative juices.

Watched Paranormal Activity today. It was ok, creepy for sure, but not particularly scary. It did not keep me on edge the way I thought it might've. The guy's character was pretty damn annoying actually. Overall did not live up to the hype, however it wasn't terrible.
