hmmmm
I think the bodymasters with wheels would be great. The only thing better about Parrillo is the extra adjustment, but I think that seems to trump the slightly nicer build quality of that bodymasters. Somebody needs to see what is going on with bodymasters and what they are making right now...
Hopefully they can put wheels on that Parrillo

This is the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with. Do me a favor and call them and see if you can get any leads on where some of there stuff might be demoed. Some hillbilly chick keeps hanging up on me answering the phone... crazy.

I'd appreciate it if somebody could call and see if they can get anything useful about their products... cost, dealers, places to demo, anything... I've had no luck for 3 months... the people that answer the phone seem to be worse than government employees.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

This is the Pendulum Power Squat Pro that I picked up recently. This piece is an A+. Nothing that I would change about it. Tyler nailed this design.

Sorry, I told the guy that I wouldn't tell of my pricing as there are others from this forum who are currently trying to make deals with him. I did pay too much for a simple gripper though IMO. I don't know what Roger's sells them for new. Maybe someone who has priced them can speak up.

While i think that on the surface it does look to be the best thought out design (and well made), I have a couple of concerns with two elements of the Parrillo lumbar incline bench. First, it looks like it would be a bugger to move around without wheels (like any heavy bench is). Second, I really don't like that it doesn't have individual feet. If you were using this on a floor that's not level or has a rock or something on it, it's not going to be as stable as having the individual feet, in my opinion, and likely much harder to get it balanced and solid feeling. I can live without wheels, but not without feet. Because of the lack of feet I'll wait for a deal on a good used Nebula or Bodymasters (and by good I mean super cheap, so that it's worth it to ship up to me, and because if it's cheap I can justify powdercoating and padding, LOL).

I called, its no big deal for wheels to be added (per edge fitness)

No reason to wait, they can modify it so it has feet.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

Could not agree more. Its really cool because you can place you feet forward, mid, back, wherever you like... you can really lean back on it, even more than a smith machine and with greater security and comfort of course... hell I didn't even mean to compare it to a smith machine other than to say you can place your feet forward and lean back on it like a smith. You can get in a front squat position and put your feet backwards as well... or simply squat like normal. Then you have those limiters which are awesome... you can set exactly how full range you want to go... with no limit or anything you like. Then you play with the strength curve and load up the bottom or top according to preference, or both... (Kudos to Strive for really pushing plate loaded adjustable strength curves). And you get that adjustable, and very comfortable yoke/neck pad... amazing!!
You really did well. To think yours is in brand new condition and what I paid for mine... Did they have a seated Squat pro there? Interesting if they did not... I know they ordered a bunch of Hip Press... it is quite possible they hung on to the hip press. I'm surprised they did not hang on to the Power Squat Pro. Obviously the new PSU strength coach is hard core OLY training only. I guess he will not stand for anything but bar squats.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

The Power Squat and the Avenger leg press are the two must have leg pieces that were on my wish list. I would have paid full price for the Power Squat and been totally happy. The strength coach said that the team used the Pendulum gear for about two months before they were removed. The only leg presses left are one Avenger, one Medx, one Strive selectorized, one Power Plus, and a (New) Power Lift belt squat. I don't know why they didn't just move this equipment to one of the nine student weight rooms on campus. The new Penn State coach has totally bought in to the Sorinex methods based almost entirely around the Base Camp racks with various attachments along with bumper and kettlebell training. There is a video of their new digs on youtube. I think Auburn and Virginia are also Sorinex equipped football weight rooms.

Here is a cool video that shows how those X-Force "negative" machines work. They have these in Gainesville. The machine actually tilts the weight stack to 45 degrees allowing the user to perform their maximum positive motion of the exercise. Then the machine quickly returns the weight stack to the vertical position, making the weight about 45-50% heavier. **Users can usually handle 45-50% more weight on a negative rep than they can on the positive rep.** The problem was always how to get the weight up into the extended position to start a negative rep. The old Nautilus Omni machines accomplished this by using a foot lever to prepare the weight for the negative rep. Your legs (obviously stronger) could be used to lift that extra 45-50% above your maximum positive weight into position.

This is not mine, as I am still patiently waiting, but this is a new Regeneration Avenger Leg Press. Shown with the new seat design (minus the custom embroidering) and in the lower left, new adjustable bumper stops (prevents lockout while maintaining full ROM).

Thanks to deadwoodgregg, I also purchased a couple pieces of equip from his craigslist find. I got a Rogers Pendulum 5 way neck and Cybex Eagle Ad/Abductor machine. Both machines are in nearly flawless condition.
Roger Neck:
It'll take a little time to fully evaluate this machine, but my first thoughts follow. The face padding is extremely comfortable, the forward and backward movement seem natural, but the sideways movement will take some getting used to. The sideways movement is probably more due to me never really training the sideways movement before (outside of using plates with a towel occasionally). I think I need to play around with seat height and sitting position while doing shrugs. My first few sets I have had a hard time getting into a comfortable position (legs hit handles or rest on seat handle). Like deadwoodgregg mentioned, when doing rear neck movement it'd be nice to have handles to hold onto rather than the seat handle. I rectified that problem by placing the machine close to my strive back extension, so I can brace myself against another machine. Of course neck movement are not supposed to be with real heavy weights, so I don't see this as a big deal.
As far as condition of the unit, I think I put more marks on the paint by disassembling and reassembling than it had on it after shipping. The machine looks like it's never been used.... except for the rubber shrug handles which has cracked. Not sure if that cracking was from usage or extreme temps in storage? The reason I say that is that the rogers weight horns don't have a single scratch nor even a smudge indicating any use. Somewhat shocked to see no wear or tear on those weight horns. My unit was missing 2 horns, but again, no big deal as I have spare plugs (and horns) from the hip press. Disassembly for moving was extremely easy, basically 9 bolts on each side to separate into 3 movable pieces.
Cybex Eagle Ad/Abductor:
Again the condition of the unit is nearly flawless. It had a lot of dust and dirt, but cleaned up nicely. It's still partially disassembled in my garage awaiting movement into the basement. There was one mark on the plastic outside stack cover (likely from using a dolly or forklift, either moving or shipping), but that side goes against the wall and won't be seen. Haven't used it yet.
My biggest hassle with this purchase was shipping. The seller had told me the units were at a shipping company that would have the units on pallets, so I had a semi driver from my co in the area and he attempted to pickup the units. The logistics company sent him directions to another location, which did not have a forklift, loading dock or even a single pallet. It look an additional 3 weeks to find a trucking company that would bring a forklift and pallets to the site to prepare them for shipping. I would have used Chris's Dave Goalder, but his schedule for deliveries was booked until after the first of the year. Outside of the shipping dilemma, the transaction went very smooth. Basically got two units at less than 1/2 retail price, and they look unused.
I'm thinking that these units must have come from Jerry Sandusky's personal gym..... hahahaha
