You my friend are wrong. The Droid Razr Maxx has a battery life of 25+ hours or so, and all the reviews are indicating that it has 2 or 3 times the battery life of any competitor on the market. It can last well over a day with moderate-heavy use according to all the patrons. Come at it!
No need to worry about battery life during the day, you can go hard all day long, and just charge it over night and you good

Adding to this, my droid bionic can last over four days if I use it really lightly. Two or three easily with moderate use (texts, <30 mins talk time, around 1.5-3 hours of random **** like web browsing, preferably on wifi). It's pretty well impossible to drain it in less than 24 hours unless you keep 4g on the entire time or talk for 15 hours or something ridiculous.

What phone are you using? If its a half decentish one, then Power + Home Buttons takes a screen shot, and saves the picture in your Gallery. My old Desire HD got this feature when it was updated to Android 2.3.6. I think it became a feature from Android 2.3.5 upwards.
EDIT:
Anyone here ever owned the Atari ST? You remember a game called Another World? F*ckin loved this game!

This is my contribution to the thread brahs.
I originally wanted to root my phone so that I could get free apps, but I found out that you can download the .apk's and just install them on your phone. I use Dropbox to put the apk's from my computer to my phone, then install it.
I use this website to download .apk's. http://www.getapk.co/
Here are some games I'm about to download.
Minecraft - Pocket Edition
Grand Theft Auto III
Tank Hero: Laser Wars

Brahs I need ways to save my battery. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (Epic 4G Touch Sprint model), and even with me constantly force stopping applications, bare minimum display settings, no sound, airplane mode; my phone barely lasts at all. It died 2 times today
My phone goes through some heavy and prolonged use including internet browsing and gaming. What ways or apps do you brahs recommend me extending my battery life. I read somewhere here that there is an app that can have your battery last 2 days? Any feedback would be appreciated.www.smashstick.com

Apps
Just found this thread, but I thought I'd add some good new apps/games I've found for my Droid Razr Maxx. I'll start my first post with apps.
Opera Mobile
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...S5icm93c2VyIl0.
Description: The premium web experience for rich, interactive content on mobile devices.
A web browser ideal for fast network connections on your mobile (such as Wi-Fi or 3G). Opera Mobile is smooth, speedy, and it makes surfing the Web on a mobile device more fun and efficient than ever.
The main feature that makes Opera mobile superior over other browsers is that it will save you on data charges by passing it through Opera's own proxy servers and compressing it, called Opera Turbo. It will also parse pages faster and they look and work very well, much better IMO, than the native Droid browser.
Sophos Mobile Security (beta)
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...b3Muc21zZWMiXQ..
Description: Sophos Mobile Security helps to keep the data on your Android device safe. We verify that the apps you choose are free from malicious code using SophosLabs intelligence. And if your device is lost or stolen, our remote lock functionality shields your personal information from prying eyes. That’s how we help you to get the most out of your mobile experience - without the risks.
Verify which apps are safe to install and keep malware at bay
• Scans apps you install to ensure they don’t contain malicious code
• Scans previously installed apps both on your device or on an SD card
• Gray-lists apps which could pose a potential threat
• Uses our SophosLabs threat intelligence from the cloud with up-to-the-minute information.
Lock or locate a device which is lost or stolen
• Performs a remote lock on any Android device which you have lost or stolen
• Uses tracking technology to attempt to find your device (optional feature)
• Use our Privacy Advisor to stay safe
• Detect apps which access personal data such as your address book or your short messages
• Lets you easily identify apps which could create costs by sending text message or making calls
Basically, this is a free virus scanner and theft prevention tool. It doesn't have tons of features, and I also keep AVG installed along side of it. But, Sophos has already saved me from installing one rogue app that turned out to be a trojan. Its lightweight and free.
Tiny Flashlight + LED
Download Link: http://amzn.to/LLyFgC
Description: Use Your Phone to Light Your Way
Tiny Flashlight + LED is a great little app that turns your mobile device into a flashlight. Tiny Flashlight + LED uses your device's camera LED to display a variety of different lights. If your device doesn't have an LED, Tiny Flashlight uses your Android device's screen light. Designed to work on a wide variety of devices, Tiny Flashlight is one of the most versatile flashlight applications on the market.
This is a GREAT app and lets you turn the LED light for your camera on the back of your phone into a full fledged flashlight. I found this in the Amazon App Market Place store. They have a lot of the same apps as Google Play, but some are different and they offer a free paid app a day. It was a little tricky to get this installed, but they have instruction guides on the right side of the page. You can either scan the QR code and bring it up or visit it in your browser. You have to allow "Unknown sources" for non-market apps under Settings -> Applications and it works fine.
ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...aG9wc2F2dnkiXQ..
Description: The original barcode scanner for Android. Find the best online and local prices.
The 5.0 version our our scanner includes ShopSavvy Wallet. Just add your credit card and you can buy with one 'slide' from top retailers like Walmart, Target, Buy.com and Barnes & Noble.
The original barcode scanner on Android. Aim the camera at any product's barcode, wait for the beep and ShopSavvy will provide you with a list of online and local prices.
Basically, just take this with you when you go shopping. If you see something you like, scan the barcode with the tool and it will give you a listing of prices both online and local retailers, along with reviews for the product to see whether its worthwhile. If you aren't sure if you want to buy it then and there, save it to your wish list and come back and get it later. Its a super handy app.
Trapster
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...i5hbmRyb2lkIl0.
Description: Trapster(R), your mobile phone alerts you as you approach police speed traps!
Trapster(R) is a FREE app that alerts you as you approach speed traps, red light/speed cameras, accidents, and other roadway hazards. Join the world's largest drivers network, with over 15 million users worldwide!
While driving and using GPS Trapster will alert you to cops, road hazards & detours, red light cameras, and etc. Its community driven, so if you find a speed trap or red light camera, just report it to them and help others out! This along with a good radar detector, like a Valentine1, will make long distance driving free of cops.
Pound Taxi
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...b3VuZHRheGkiXQ..
Description: Connect to the first available cab company and avoid busy signals!
Need a cab and don't know the number? A busy time for cabs and you can’t get through? No problem! #TAXI (Pound Taxi) will get you a taxi in no time. Connect to the first available cab company and get to the front of the line by avoiding busy signals!
Works in every city and major town across the US and Canada. Connecting to a cab company will generate a one-time carrier charge of between $1.25 and $2.00 per call (check with your wireless carrier).
#TAXI supports MADD and MADD Canada in their effort to prevent impaired driving. Do the right thing and use the #TAXI app and get to your destination safely and quickly.
I learned about #TAXI when doing a school project on MADD. Basically, it will check your GPS and find you the nearest, quickest (and maybe cheapest) taxi around to come and pick you up. Its meant for when you're too intoxicated to drive (you can also just send a text to #taxi on your phone) but it can also be very helpful if you're stranded and need to find a cab. It costs a rate tacked onto your phone bill, but cheaper than a DUI or just standing out in the rain.
Scanner Radio
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bmVycmFkaW8iXQ..
Description: Listen to police and fire departments from around the world on your phone.
Listen to live audio from over 3,300 police and fire scanners, weather radios, and amateur radio repeaters from around the world (primarily in the United States and Australia though, with more being added daily).
You can listen to your local police/fire and emergency radio just like if you owned a very expensive police scanner. They also include NOAA weather broadcast stations for sever weather. There is a very similar application called Police Scanner Radio Scanner which essentially does all the same thing. They both pull their data from radioreference.com, a site that broadcasts nation/worldwide police scanner broadcasts. You can try out either one or both and just see which one you like. They both offer premium versions, but I think the only big difference is you can record the streams and there are no ads.
sms Blocker
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...XNCbG9ja2VyIl0.
Description: Get this app NOW! You will forget what spam/unwanted SMS is!
Block text message using World's Most Advanced & Powerful SMS blocking & text filter tool. This unique anti spam technology has received awards from MIT Technology Review, Nokia, Proto, NASSCOM & many others. If unwanted, intruding & untimely text messages are annoying you & filling your mobile inbox with junk, you need this ultimate SMS blacklist app!
Does what it says it does & no subscription fees.
There are a few other nice apps I've found, but those are some of the best so far. Many of the other good apps have also been mentioned previously in this thread.

Games
Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...2xvZnRBNkhQIl0.
Description: Race the world. Feel the adrenaline.
Feel the thrill of arcade racing like never before in the newest adrenaline-pumping game of the Asphalt series.
BUILD YOUR DREAM COLLECTION
Discover 42 cars and bikes from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ducati and other world-class manufacturers. Collect them in your own 3D garage.
Cost: 99¢
This is a very addictive racing game - one of the best I've played so far. Its sort of like what NFS used to be back in the day. Its cheap and you get tons of cars, tons of tracks, tons of games, and online multiplayer. I looked all over for a pirate version and couldn't find any that worked, and so I ended up paying for it and its worth the price.
Pool Break (Pro/Lite)
Download Link
Pro (paid): https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...b20zREZ1bGwiXQ..
Lite (free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...=search_result
Description: 3D Pool, Snooker, Billiards, Carrom, Crokinole. Play online or against computer.
Pool Break is not just a game, but an entire suite of games featuring several variations of Pool, Snooker, and the popular Crokinole and Carrom board games. The full 3D graphics are spectacular and the physics are realistic and accurate. Whether you play against the computer or against other Android, iPhone or iPad users online, the action is smooth and fast paced!
Cost: $2.99 or lite version is free
This was mentioned in the first post but it can't be overstated how fun this is. The full version is free on http://applanet.net/
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...NocF9uYV93ZiJd
Description: Feel the rush of the escape and the thrill of the takedown!
Outrun the law as a Racer in supercars like the Pagani Zonda Cinque – or stop racers cold as a Cop in high-speed police interceptors like the Lamborghini Reventon. Experience pulse-pounding action as you make the escape – or make the bust – with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit™ on Android.
Cost: $4.99
Google Play says this app is incompatible with my phone, but applanet.net installed it just fine. This game is a lot more challenging than Adrenaline, and its different than NFSHP for console/PC. You can still play as a cop or racer and participate in various events, but its a lot less forgiving when you screw up and hard to get past certain bottlenecks in the game. Still, it can be fun.
GTA III 10th Anniversary Edition
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...3Rhci5ndGEzIl0.
Description: Rockstar Games celebrates the 10th anniversary of one of the most influential games of all time. The critically acclaimed blockbuster Grand Theft Auto III comes to mobile devices, bringing to life the dark and seedy underworld of Liberty City. With a massive and diverse open world, a wild cast of characters from every walk of life and the freedom to explore at will, Grand Theft Auto III puts the dark, intriguing and ruthless world of crime at your fingertips.
Cost: $5.99 (99¢ the day I am posting this)
Everybody is familiar with GTA, so its obviously a great game. The dynamics, controls and physics are a lot different when trying to play on a phone rather than with a mouse/keyboard or controller though. But, of course its a classic and theres limitless stuff you can do. I tried the applanet version of this and although it installed and ran it wouldn't save, so I ended up just lucking out and finding it on sale today so I went ahead and bought it.
NBA Jam
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...YW1fbmFfd2YiXQ..
Description: YOU’RE ON FIRE – ON ANDROID!
If you’re from the Old School, you’ll feel the ‘90s nostalgia while you play the hottest arcade sports game on the Android Market. Featuring the voice of Tim Kitzrow (the original NBA JAM play-by-play announcer), you’ll hear all the classic catchphrases plus a few new ones. This JAM is all about “boomshakalaka”- and beyond!
Go to the hole. Go strong. Go for the monster jam. KABOOM!
Cost: $4.99
For some reason EA titles and my phone don't seem to want to work - unless they come from applanet. NBA Jam works great and its super fun. If you've never played it, its a side scrolling type basketball game with a lot of novelty. Everything is exaggerated and there are easter eggs everywhere. Its super fun and easy to control on a phone.
Angry Birds Series
Download Link
Google Play
https://play.google.com/store/search...y+birds&c=apps
Amazon App Store
http://amzn.to/K81OlD
Description: Use the unique powers of the Angry Birds to destroy the greedy pigs' fortresses!
The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the greedy pigs who stole their eggs. Use the unique powers of each bird to destroy the pigs’ fortresses. Angry Birds features challenging physics-based gameplay and hours of replay value. Each of the over 300 levels requires logic, skill, and force to solve.
Cost: 99¢/title or free ad supported
Everybody has played Angry Birds and its a fun little game. There are plenty of versions of it to keep you entertained. I went with the Amazon versions of the game, although I'm not sure if theres any difference. They seemed to have all the Angry Bird titles free and in HD, although ad supported. Of course, applanet.net has them all premium for free, I don't mind seeing a little ad in the game.
Tetris
Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...NmcmVlX3JvdyJd
Description: PLAY THE OFFICIAL TETRIS® GAME – FOR FREE!
Get the true Tetris® game – for FREE! Loved by hundreds of millions of players worldwide, this all-time blockbuster is an absolute essential for your Android smartphone.
Cost: Free(ad supported)
Its Tetris and what can I say about it. If you're like me, you played it with the original launch title for the Gameboy. Its simple, easy and fun. Like all the others, applanet is the place to go if you want the full version w/o ads.
There are a few other games out there that I've played, but none of them are as good as the ones mentioned. The Sonic games aren't that great, theres a lot of racing games, and of course you can download emulators and roms and load them up on your SD card. There are some decent pinball games, solitaire, and a FPS by the same company that made Adrenaline called Modern Combat 3 which is actually pretty for a phone, but just doesn't stand up to CoD or BF.
If you have any suggestions, critiques, comments, questions or want to add your own apps and games list please do! Lets keep this thread going!
