Yes it was mighty expensive (over $100), but hopefully it is worth the money.. Reviews coming soon!
For now though..
Häagen-Dazs Spiced Pecan Turtle
I have been highly impressed with Häagen-Dazs lately so I decided to give another pint out of their artisan lineup a shot. The chocolate flavor is not as milky as the one I encountered in Rocky Road, but is still superior to B&J’s. It is a dense base, but only provides a mild chocolate flavor overall. What separates this pint from many others is the caramel swirl. Normally the flavor seems to be an undertone in other pints, but that is not the case here. The caramel swirl is very sweet and full of buttery flavor. It seems heavier & creamier than usual, as it is extremely dense and sticks to your spoon. Like I said though, the best part about the swirl is that it easily stands on its own when eaten with the chocolate base.
Lastly, chopped chocolate-spiced pecans were littered throughout the pint. Most of them were of pretty good size. The chocolate coating didn’t really offer a change in taste, but the thick coating of chocolate, along with the actual pecan itself, added a nice crunch to the pint. The spice on initial bite is somewhat subtle. However, after eating a couple spoonfuls of these, it is obvious that the pecans are coated with cinnamon. You are left with a tremendously spicy flavor that lingers for quite a while as an aftertaste. I ended up drinking so much water after this pint trying to get the scratchiness out of my throat. Overall, this was another good pint, but I wouldn’t rush out to grab it unless you are a fan of spicy chocolate flavors.

Checked out Salt and Straw after you posted that man. If they shipped that Apple Doughnut flavor, I'd pay over 100 for five pints too

O boy. Dat swirl looks good mane. I've seen mixed reviews but after those pictures I'll have to give it a go; especially if most pints are packed with mix-ins like that.
Reporting for roll call. I was in the few mix-ins camp for that one. One big chunk of whoopie pie and the rest were just crumbs here and there.

HAHAH you are your apple pie flavor!!! It would be worth the money though, you are right..
Mine wasn't quite that high, but still expensive!
My gah!!!!! Mad jelly of that pint.. Can't find it anywhere!!
That's strange.. Near me, they are about $4.50 (Kroger & Publix) and $3.50 at Walmart!I.C.E.D.

Yeah I am definitely not a fan of spicy chocolate, BUT this caramel swirl was one of the best I have encountered in some time! Kept my interest for sure..
Baskin-Robbins Banana Split
There is a lot going on with this flavor of the month. Banana flavored ice cream topped with chocolatey covered cherry pieces & almonds swirled with pineapple pieces and strawberry & hot fudge ribbons. I never expect much with Baskin-Robbins as it is very generic, but this was definitely one of the worst flavors I have scooped from them in quite a while. First off, the banana base was very weak and mild with hardly a hint of banana. The pineapple pieces were visible, but so small that you couldn't even taste them. The same applies to the strawberry ribbon that was hardly present in my scoop. However, the rest of the mix-ins were up to par. The chocolate ribbon balances well with the banana base for a classic flavor combination and was in majority of my bites. Lastly, the chocolate covered almonds and cherries were the best. The chocolate coating didn't do much for the almonds, but it left you with a great almond aftertaste that was also crunchy, without being rock hard. The chocolate cherries were basically the size of a mini reese's cup filled with a cherry swirl. When you came across these mix-ins, which I had plenty, the flavors stood out tremendously. I wouldn't recommend this by any means, and if it wasn't for the chocolate cherries & almonds, this would have been a lot worse!

Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Not So Shortcake
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...erry-shortcake
Overall I was skeptical on a fruity offering from Ben & Jerry's while never having their original Strawberry Cheesecake flavor. The base is good and if they made more in this Strawberry cake ice cream flavor I would suggest giving it a crack. The shortbread pieces were great from start to finish. Nearly getting one or multiple pieces in every single bite till the very end. While the strawberry mix-ins were lacking in size and flavor it was still a very small compliment to the new Ben & Jerry limited flavor. The little flecks reminded me of Nutty Caramel Swirl and how the nut pieces were shattered throughout the pint. I would consider this pint if you are a fruit fan (Strawberry), or really enjoy Strawberry Shortcake. Since this is a limited flavor you may want to act quick before it may be gone!
