New DT song.
It is different. Reminds me completely of the songs Iridium and Arkanglesk off their last album. Has a dark, chill, atmosphere to it. I'm loving it. As long as they have a mix of something like this with their normal stuff (take their last album for example), then I'll be fuarking happy. IMO, they are one Melodeath band that always seems to deliver. My last.fm accnt = http://www.last.fm/user/Headshot7

Jeff Loomis' band got all of their chit stolen last night in St. Louis. Phucking chitty.
Last night after our show in St. Louis, our tour van was broken into as we were grabbing a bite to eat before our drive to Dallas. We were parked in a well-lit area in front of the restaurant. In the ten to fifteen minutes that it took for us to order our food and eat, all of our personal items such as laptops, cameras, musical equipment, cell phones, passports and money were stolen. We came outside to find the lock on the driver side door popped out of the van, and promptly called the police. A report has been filed and the van was fingerprinted, but the leads don’t seem promising. The police stated that this is apparently a common occurrence in the area. We are all in disbelief, but are very fortunate for everyone to be okay.
After discussing the situation as a group, we would like to try to continue on with this tour, but to be able to do this, we will need your help. We have all taken a huge hit financially, and we cannot continue on without some sort of support. We have set up a paypal account for any amount of donations to assist us for the duration of the tour.
Below is the PayPal e-mail to make donations to.
JLoomisbanddonation@outlook.com
Any and all support will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeff Loomis Band and crew
I think the Paypal account got suspended due to the amount of donations.

sadly I think the caladan brood debut will outshine this"Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty... I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led diffcult lives and led them well."

Fukin right. When it comes to Septicflesh, the artwork is half of the reason I actually buy the physical copies. I own The Great Mass art/album book as well. Seth Siro Anton is a ****ing phenomenal artist.
Apparently this re-issue has liner notes from a journalist who follows Septicflesh as well as new liner notes from the band. Also, the re-issue has 3 bonus tracks - Woman of the Rings and two live tracks recorded in 1999
HHNNNNGGG!

Hahahahahahaha! This song gets better throughout!
My most anticipated tracks have to be:
Drugs, Thugs and Machetes (On the TMDC ********, the talk a lot about how chaotic and "all that other good stuff" this song is)
S.A.D.M. (Svpreme Avantgarde Death Metal) - This sounds like it could be the best track, just by the title!
Aslimu!!! - It's the long track of the album!

If you go through their posted pictures and videos on ******** you can find a sample of Human Wave Attack. If I remember correctly this track follows Gods Amongst Insects, and from the sample they posted, it sounds like HWA picks up right after Gods ends. Optimus Prime speaks near the beginning of the sample, but the rest sounds absolutely devastating.

That they did. I have seen that video, which has left me wanting more!
If it turns out to be better than Trivmvirate (which is something two reviewers (out of two) have said, as have you), then all of the songs will be amazing. This is, by far, my most anticipated album of this year. Possibly "ever."

I see what you're saying, but remember: if they get too popular, they could end up pandering to the crowd. Too much. Plus, if people do not realise the greatness that is The Monolith Deathcult, it is their loss. Massively. Plus, they are the 6th most popular supreme avantgarde death metal band from the Netherlands, so...

Yeah, I feel you, but I was mainly thinking about them being popular enough to do some US tours. Apparently because of their jobs and previous experiences they don't really do shows anywhere besides Europe/close to where they live. I read on their ******** that they were supposed to come to the US to tour two days after 9/11. The entire thing was cancelled, as you can imagine. I would bet they took a decent financial hit, and it must have turned them off to the idea of international touring.
But yeah, like you said, if you aren't aware of The Deathcult, then jakes on you

We played with and supported a heap of bands, slayer, megadeth, heaps - google us, download or music for free on the pirates, if anyone wants to know anything about getting shows, or supports, or recording hit me up.

All of the info on the Strapping Young Lad box had me thinking.
What do people find so great about Strapping Young Lad? Their music doesn't really do much for me. I guess it may be because I can't get Devin Townsend Project out of my head, and apart from a few songs, I think that the DTP sucks major ass. Seriously. Yeah, the guy's a great musician, but I have never enjoyed his DTP tunes. Not only that, but Devin Townsend has mega legions of nuthuggers that worship the group he walks on.
I guess I may have been too late to really appreciate what SYL did. People talk about how great their stuff is, but all I can hear is a premature DTP.
edit: However, I cannot deny that the new SYL boxset is a high quality piece of art. If a band like Septicflesh did a set like that I would be all over it.
