Squats were fast and awesome as God intended. I thought I was being a little greedy and went for a 10 lb PR...after the set I realized that I sold myself a little short. 2 more weeks and I'm going for a 1RM so I'm definitely looking forward that PR
EDIT: Here's a summary of my experience with groove briefs.....

Thanks guys.
Back story Cliffs....
had a gift card from Christmas
threw in a $25 pair of briefs from Inzer on an order for the hell of it
(thought I could maybe use them for Husafel or Conan's wheel)
finally got around to trying them yesterday
Workout Cliffs....
Got HR up like I was doing a medley trying to get them on
hit a nice quarter squat with 225 to warm up
followed that up with 2 half reps of 315 (good speed out of the "hole" though )
went for 365 and just dumped it on the rack
I took them off and continued on to abs like nothing happened
