First, your BP is fantastic (edit: ahh, saw your sig's PR!!!! whoa!). Second, what is the method to your sets? I see warm ups and building up, but then you taper back down, not sure that I've seen this before and I'm curious. And what does your program look like short term and long term, I'm trying to get an idea looking back through your journal? It's interesting and clearly producing great results!

ADVICE NEEDED!!! SRS HAM IS SRS
Ok people, so my neighbors invited me to their little kid's bday party, kid turning 2, female kid. Parents say kid loves everything from dinosaurs to unicorns that fart rainbows to trains to kitties. Want to get a cool present + of course something age appropriate (seems a lot of things say specifically over THREE years so I am avoiding those things.) Found a cute as can be plush puppy (says age 1+) and a pack of glitter stickers of like lions and turtles and sheep (also says age 1+.) So I'm good to trust that right? I am totally unaware if 2 year old children will run around and try to eat random things, just wanted to make sure that stuff was ok for a 2 yr old. I would think so, kid seems really smart srs and very responsible parents. So, parents of little kids, yay or nay on these items?

TY in advance. Want to get this stuff Amazoned in time so I can nicely wrap it in unicorns-farting-cupcakes paper. And holy crap now all my Amazon suggested items page is showing me princess sparkle pony crap instead of quest bars and power tools!Current PRs:

Your benching is so awesome! Love seeing little Max
Hope these new guys work out better this time so that you don't end up with another rash from running all over the place. Yikes...that sounds miserable!
About the kid's party. I only have nephews and never have a clue what to get them. I know they put everything in their mouths, so I would maybe stay away from the stickers? I don't know...hope someone else can chime in on those. The plush puppy is adorable and I think that would be okay. The plush puppy sounds fine, stickers for the most part should be ok. My kiddo doesn't eat his, just likes to plaster them all over his clothes lol. The main thing to look for is possible choking hazzards, buttons, pieces that can come off easily or small enough to fit in the mouth and get stuck in their throat.
If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
I like eating, it helps with the not dying.

Hahaha unicorns farting rainbows Kids are easily pleased. Thing is with two year olds is they have the attention span of a goldfish. Especially at parties cause they get so much stuff they just keep moving on to the next item and then when it's all said and done they don't even know what happened, lol. That's just my experience, anyway You can't really go wrong with anything!

Vic, HI!!!
Gotdamnit man, now I have a craving for play dough, used to eat dat chit in bulk.
Lol yeah really. I figured it's really cool this neighbor is a five second walk from my house, pop in, give kid present, partake in some cake perhaps, mingle like an idiot having no clue who most people are, ride a donkey if such an opportunity presents itself, and walk home to watch netflix in my underwear. Man, I sometimes get the urge to buy one of those big cookie cakes for no other reason than I just want a friggin cookie cake, and rampage the thing in one day. I am an animal.
--------------------------------------------------
Well work continues to suck. Finally got home in time today to cut the grass that was becoming a jungle. If possible I can lift tomorrow night and then fit the rest of the week's lifting in Sat/Sun. I hate having to cram all that into a short period, there has been no time during the week though.
On a positive note I've been going to bed at like 9pm most nights and getting nearly 8hrs sleep srs, that's pretty cool. And I ordered food somewhere today and they gave me two boxes of free chicken fingers. That was like the highlight of my week.Current PRs:

Hamster! If I remember correctly, you take something for joint support? Please to fill me in. I've been noticing lately that when my program calls for high rep sets of things that involve bending my elbows (like for instance three 10 rep sets of db rows today) said elbows are very sore afterwards.

Went light on the squats, I think they look pretty good form wise. Pull ups and chin ups went great, still hard as hell but I'm consistantly doing mostly sets of 4. My arms look awesome.
Got a late start today, woke up nice and early, but power was out from sometime in the middle of the night til like 3pm today. I thought ok, well I'll just do the laundry - nope can't do that, ok run the dishwasher - oh no can't, pay the bills - um nope no internet, vacuum and run the steam cleaner - no, ok well I'll have some poptarts lemme just put these in the toaster - damnit!!! Would've been nice to at least lift in the morning but it is very dark in my basement during the day with the lights off, brb squatting in pitch dark, but who was safety. First world problems, couldn't lift when I wanted to and had to eat cold poptarts like an animal.
I've been waking up to some really good new songs on the radio lately, the kind that make you go oooo THAT is my new lifting song! Gonna get on itunes tonight and find those, it's been months since I downloaded anything new. I think Shinedown has a new album, if so then pepper your angus for listening to Shinedown for the next 3 months of my lifting vids.Current PRs:

Yes I do! I take USP Labs Super Cissus caps twice a day (seriously works) and GNC Triflex glucosamine chews 3x a day (huge huge help as well.) Both are fairly cheap, I get them on Amazon or drugstore dot com. Really give it like a month or two and you should notice a huge difference in your joints feeling better. I've been taking these for years. As for fixing elbows specifically you can try rehabbing with Aylio bands (also on Amazon), basically builds your muscles which externally rotate, for lack of a better term, in your hands/forearms/elbow. The stronger your grip the more fukked your elbows get of course unless you balance things out both ways just like shoulders, knees, and hips. (Ah you surely are aware of this already with your background, I'm always so thrilled to talk about rehabbing things I can't shut up about it! )
Two years ago I was doing db rows and I heard and felt something go POP in my elbow, was hornswaggled for about a year, but the hand bands help soooo much. Also arnica, Drea you are my ultimate hero for awaring me on arnica, I use it often and it saves me a lot of pain.Current PRs:

Hey there! I'm sorry I totally missed your post, was scrolling through and found it today! Thank you very much!! Haha I really have not much of a method, I mean I always start with an empty bar for everything, then add wt slowly. For BP my warmups are all sets up to 135lb, and I make sure I do plenty of warmups so I don't get injured. Then I simply go by feel, I may only go up to 150lb or I may go to like 175 depending. Then a couple back off sets since I think it's good to not overdo the heavy stuff, and it's always nice to bang out 135x10 for the end set.

Kinda medium bench day, good enough. Had to lift early and then get to some last minute errands before going to neighbor's little kid's bday. Was really fun, stayed all day, got to talk a lot to some neighbors I just kinda see here and there and got to know them better, cool people. Bonus of my day was the mom asking me to lift and carry some heavy stuff cause she said she noticed I was really strong, haha. Thx so much, Hammie. Made an amazon order in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I got the peanut butter flavored GNC chews. Do u recommend one flavor over another? (Did a little doubletake when someone in the reviews said their dog loves them, but I'm pretty sure it was a people version i ordered lulz.)
Thumbs up on neighbors noticing your swoleness and mighty strength! Glad the party was fun."Eat some oatmeal, do some squats, how hard is that seriously."--Prof Ham

Hey guise! Thanks for keeping my journal alive. I promise to be in here more.
Thanks! Oh man, you just gotta save up all the stuff that makes you angry and stressed and explode it out in the gym, srs. When I get pissed off IRL, (most of the time) I can silently smile about it and say ok this is for the next squat day. Turn off that part of your brain and just save it up, hard to explain I guess, then be a volcano in the gym when it's time. However sometimes the stress is pretty bad and that's when you have to yell at innanimate objects and throw your phone just to keep your sanity. For as much as I tell my iphone to its face that it sucks I will say that thing can take a beating, both accidental and IDGAF I'm gonna throw this phone through a wood chipper, that thing is tough.
Good to hear it! Haha yeah that is a very common supplement given to pets with arthritis, and elderly humans. I believe it's the same exact thing only different dosage. Anyways I usually get 3 bags of choc and 3 bags of pb and just switch it up like every month. Both are fine, they don't really taste like much. I will warn you if you ever take those things outdoors and let them get cold they will be too hard to chew. (I usually keep some in my pockets at work and in winter they harden up and I once broke a dental crown. ) Keep em indoors and they will be fine.

Pretty good workout, haven't done DL in a while so was pleased with those numbers. Want to do squat/pull ups/chin ups tomorrow and bench day Sunday. Been at work nonstop this week, ugh, nothing but problems. Downloaded some new tunes last week and they are HNNNGGGG!!! Some new music that's really glazing my ham...
Pop Evil, apparently I like a ton of their songs but never realized that was their name, that band name sounds very pussy-ish so I avoided it, but now that I know I'll download the albums
Shinedown is always pure awesome
Five Finger Death Punch, used to not be into them but am loving everything they do lately
I love finding new music, makes everything so much more enjoyable when life has a good soundtrack. Also my favorite band of all time Hollywood Undead has a new album out HNNGGGG!!! I downloaded it and am saving it for when I get bored of the current playlist, always nice to know there's something awesome ready to go.
Papa Johns again, brb go there 4x a week, sigh. That damn pepper!!! WTF am I watching on tv?? Why are all these mexican people crying? Damn all these weird ass game shows, this is why you never stray from the dvr, brb Spongebob Squarepants and Naked and Afraid erry day man.Current PRs:

Did not stretch after because I had to get outside to the grill before the sun went down. Grilled the best steak I've ever eaten, bison burgers, chicken, and broccoli. Will have really good foodz for the next few days.
I want to bench tomorrow morning, gotta get up semi early cause parents are coming over to see me for early bday. I gotta clean up my house a little, today all I did was sleep in, eat feast of a breakfast, take nap immediately with Max watching dvr, grocery shop, lift, grill.Current PRs:

Medium wt bench day, didn't go ovariez to the wallz today. Lifted Fri/Sat/Sun so that is a chit ton of gym! Gotta get OHP in there in a couple of days, hopefully I can start lifting during the work week too if the universe smiles upon my giant biceps and allows me time.
Woke up early (9am, yes early for a Sunday) and lifted in the morning and did some house stuff. Parents came over to celebrate my bday early. They brought bbq ribs with a bunch of sides from a restaurant out here, and the most chocolately cake of chocolateness with like quadrouple chocolate, srs, my farts will be deadly. My dad has always found the most awesome, thoughtful gifts for people, have gotten the best presents from him over the years. This year he sent my favorite pic of my first pet cat Hobbes (first pet I got when I moved out on my own after college, had her for 12 years) to an artist who did an amazing colored pencil drawing of her. It is fantastic! I'll post a pic in here this week, it's so beautiful! So yeah, my dad is awesome.Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

Them straps for squatting look like a great workaround for the elbow and shoulders Hammer.
Great epic squat strength of peace. Love the way you rugby tackle the bar onto your back.
If I knew your address. I would.
