If we lived in a world where money was not a factor...
I would quit my job to become an airline pilot. Too bad that the seniority ranking ladder is absolutely terrible and you make almost no money the first decade.

I completely understand. I like my job now and it pays well and all, but I never woke up as a child saying I want to work in a hospital 6 days a week on call for my life.
I am starting to understand how working for money is terrible if you hate your job. But all the jobs that I really would love (like being a pilot) pays almost nothing until your are in your mid to late 40s factoring in that you start in your 20s/early 30s.

I hate having to be on call, the hours, constantly seeing people die and etc.
It's definitely not a bad job, and my main goal in life has always been to start a family...there is no way a pilot can support a family on that type of income.
Financially and educationally I have met all my goals. But I will say that even as a child I thought the coolest thing you could be is a captain of an airplane.
So if money were not an issue in life, which it is, I would quit my job in an instant and work my way up the pilot ladder.

I am doing basically what I did before but in a completely different environment. I started out not knowing anything about this business and it was stressful to walk into a job like that. I didn't start all the way at the bottom but I'm not the boss like I was before. I only have one employee who reports to me now which is less stressful. Starting at the bottom isn't great salary-wise but it can be less stressful.
I have definitely had to stay on my toes and learn fast being as I have not been in this business for years like everyone else. It is rewarding to know that I have learned so much and have made my way here. I have earned a lot of respect for doing my job well. People are always surprised when I tell them what type of business I came from. It was so different than where I work now.

I agree. I love my job and the company I work for and I make good money. It has it days when it gets stressful but the good days outweigh the bad days. My husband makes good money as well but hates his jobwith a passion!!! Good thing he gets like 8 weeks vacation each year. Makes him hate it a little less when he can take time off like that.

If someone of the opposite sex compliments you on a lift, etc do you assume they are hitting on you?
I do not.
Just curious about yous.

Nah, it doesn't really feel like they are hitting on me just because they talk about working out. It almost never happens anyways, people are skeered of me in the gym. Dunno why, I'm really nice and talk about training with anyone.
One time there wasn't a lot of people around, so I asked a woman for a spot on close grip bench press. In the middle of my lift, sweat dripped off her into my eye. After I racked the weight I told her not to tell her BF she exchanged body fluids with a guy from the gym lol. She probably thought I was hitting on her.Transformation Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170068283&page=1

Guy complimenting girl = most probably looking for a reason to approach/talk to the girl so yes flirting with/hitting on the girl
Girl complimenting guy = girl lifts and is actually impressed, although could be looking for a reason to talk to the guy in rare cases

I can empathise! I work part time and that is my break. I have a lot of respect for Mum's that are home with their kids 24/7 because I think I would go a little crazy.
I know this feeling. I'm leaning towards staying where I am because I get paid decently and have a good work-life balance. I draw my happiness from my personal life.

Perv
The only time I really compliment women in the gym is if I see one doing squats/deadlift/bench or just lifting hard. There might only be 1 or 2 ever in like a month and it's a 1 time compliment, not incessant compliments.
I just think it's good to let them know they're doing it right. So many women don't lift and just do cardio.
I compliment men too. Anyone that has any sort of strength and isn't just fluffing the weights around.Transformation Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170068283&page=1

i've already done half a weeks worth of overtime this month, and that was with a day off.
I'd quite like a massage, and a baby.
Sadly I lack the time, and the boyfriend for either
brb being a job person has surprising negativesWhether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right.
Aim for the stars and you might reach the moon, Aim for the ceiling and you won't get off the ground
I can do anything for 12 hours that would horrify me if i had to do it for life.
