This isnt a contest. I would like for us to post our waist size and weight from time to time, and definitly post if you think you are gonna waiver from your diet or feel like not workin out. This journal is motivation for the unmotivated. The group is a mix of both. So lets start out by everybody making a post about them selves and their goals for the next 3-6 months.

I guess, I will be first. A little about me, I started the year off losing 30 pounds in 3 months only to gain it back. I do great in the lifting department and the cardio dept. I just suck at dieting. I have taken off the skirt so to say, and am stepping it up. I have a 3 year old little boy, amd the question I have for myself is, how long will I live weighing this much? Not long enough to do my job as a father, so I am planning on losing mass quantities of fat this year.

I am the same as too big fred...I really really suck at dieting. Actually, I am terrible at it!
So, goal for the new year is to get diet in check...and start loving cardioMy journal:

Well not too much to say here... I started out 2007 close to 400lbs, not lifting since Jr. High if you even want to count that, and pretty much just doing an hour on the stationary bike three times a week. Since then I've dropped to 291, gotten a pretty solid lifting program, and keep my diet mostly in check. The hardest has been giving up the alcohol! I wasn't an alcoholic or anything, just was a good way to relax and have fun on the weekends. I haven't had anything since September and it was a few beers. Goals for 2008 are pretty high. I want to be under 250 and 20% bf by June 1, then it's balls to the wall working on conditioning and endurance for the Fire Academy. I hope that about covers it.

I am the opposite of fred and carl, I do not have too much trouble with the diet (beer is my only real weakness but I am pretty disciplined about it). I tend to slack when it comes to my workouts though. I am forcing myself to be more consistent this year. I've made a lot of progress in the past year or so, but I would already be at my goal if I was more consistent at the gym. If you guys will stay on my ass about working out, I will stay on yours about the diet and Jay's drinking.
I am starting this with a 42.75 inch waist and a weight of 267 pounds, down from a starting point in fall 06 of 355+ and a 56" waist. My primary goal is to get to sub 10% body fat.08/20/09: 249 lbs.
03/01/08: 258 lbs.
01/01/08: 265 lbs.
08/01/07: 300 lbs.
09/11/06: 355 lbs.

I guess we all have a weakness, mine is the diet also,I'm at about 75% right now.Always working out and doing my share of cardio but the results are minimal it should be better.Dropping over 50 lbs this year is okay but wanted 75 lbs so this year with a better diet, good workouts and with the help of you guys I want to go from 323 lbs to 263 lbs this year which puts me at a 60 lbs weight loss goal.

my weakness
Right now, I am having massive cravings to eat large amounts of food. It always happens right after work. I know it is as eaasy as waiting a bit till I get my hands on some chicken and cottage cheese(yum) This will be my success, not pigging out after work, plus...lol...my legs are already sore from todays workout, I will have to poo standing up in the morning.....lol

As of today this is what I look like:
Yeah, not the sight you would love to see walking down the beach...but it is what I have to work with
Not going to get sad or soppy here, I put myself in that situation and I have to deal with it.
Anyway...just thought it might be important to post my pictures in my room and it reads : YOU ARE FAT AND DISGUTED OF YOURSELF...what are you going to do about it!
Every morning it will one of the first thing I see and ones of the last ones.
Losing weight is not easy...it is a strugle. It is so easy to just go with the flow and let the lbs add on.
But nothing is worth having comes easy....and this is one of them.
I might have one of the craziest goal here...but Brotha got to aim high.
I am aiming for 250 comes July and 200 comes Thanksgiving of next year!!!
Not got to go do my cardio! My journal:

I would like to be a part of your conjoined journal, if y'all will have me. Since September, I have lost several inches, increased by 90 pounds in weight training, inherited a forearm muscle and have established a 4 day a week routine at the gym. Please keep tabs on my new signature, as I will edit a stat change when one is acheived. My biggest challenge will be reducing my caloric intake. I am subscribed with FitDay.com, and need to incorporate it into my routine. This is where I will need the MOST help from my partners, because I am not a stable dietary aid to myself. Blessings.

Oh and is it possible to have the whole group weigh in and document weight changes on the same day?

That is what I am wanting. I would love for all of us to be able to weigh in within a few days of one another, I am curious as a whole, how much we can lose. I also would like this thread to be where someone can come on here and be like" the cravings are killin me" and we can talk some sense into them. We are all here for one another.
