Hey guys, I need some suggestions. I have been lifting for 4 years and planning to compete in men's physique in may and july in 2013. I have been training and dieting really hard.. I feel like I am in decent shape and I would love to compete earlier. I just moved to Vancouver for university so im still kind of new in the area. does anyone know if there are any shows that a noob like me can join? haha. Other than that, I would really love to know some information on how to get into the fitness industry. I love everything about fitness (training, dieting, competing, supplements) and I really really want to be a part of it. I am not very sure on how to do that. Down below are some pictures of me. Please give me some suggestions and tips, really appreciate that. hope you guys are all doing good, stay healthy. Thanks.

You really have an amazing physique, especially for only being 18 years old, so congradulations on that so far! My biggest suggestion when trying to really get into the fitness industry is to get all of the exposure that you can. Really get yourself out there and known, whether on the forums here, by photographers and show promoters, or even the general population. The more support you have behind you, the better. What is it that you are looking to do? Become a fitness model, competitor, trainer, sales rep for a company? Fnd what it is you really want from this industry, and gun for it full force. In the fitness industry, you really do get out what you put in, so put it all in!

My goal for now is to compete. I am also trying really hard to find a part time job as a sales rep (supplement companies, stores and such) but so far not very successful. There really isn't many modeling opportunities around as well. I do know exposure is quite important. ill keep looking, If not i will still compete in may. Thank you so much for the information and the complements. It means alot to me.

I was talkin to a rep from Cellucor the other day and was really pickin his brain on how to get into the sales rep field. He basically said just to build up that resume. Thats what they are lookin for.
But stick at it man, im mirin hard. I want to do the exact same thing as you so keep workin hard! Greens for you sirP28 Review: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=148598423&p=957584223#post957584223

It is for sure an industry that I love Exposure helps for certain....meaning competing at the bigger shows at some point where publications, supplement companies etc are more likely to attend. Shooting as often as you can to build a varied portfolio also helps. When you go to expos (and you should) network, get out there, meet the decision makers and have your pics ready. Be patient - it rarely happens overnight

You look very good for being 18. Keep adding size in the right places and always shoot when you are in close to contest shape.
Brand yourself and invest in a decent site with decent images and videos. Create a quality product and companies will take notice.
Good luck.Alex Ardenti
