Fly-by lunchtime post, glad to see the threads picked up some new blood!
At the revolution school the other weekend a guy walked into the second classroom session late, sweating profusly, hair straight up with dirt all over him. He sat down, raised his hand and said: "please explain brake fade to me". -CSG @Corral.net

Looking for a training partner in So Ca. East LA/ West San Gabriel Valley
Yo,
I've been lifting consistently for about a year now, alone. I have my own gym at my house in Montebello right by the DMV.
I'm working on strength training for the most part with some supplementary body building stuff. Standard 3 day split using Elliot Hulse's Grow stronger method perimeters so 3 weeks at strength range sets then a de-load week . I usually lift Sunday in the afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday after work usually by 6 or 615 depending on traffic.
I've had a bunch of people come and go, not dedicated newbies and my most recent training partner, who actually stuck to it, is moving at the end of December because he ran out of money! So I figure I should come here and see if there's anybody looking to train and actually ****ing stick to it as the other people were from craigslist.
So about the gym.
It's all free weights. Squat rack, bench and pull down. I'm picking up more equipment next year as necessary and as funds become available.
Its in my backyard mostly covered except when doing over head presses and that's really just a question of height. I'm 6'3 so I have to do them in the uncovered section. I blast metal when I lift and I have 3 pit bulls. They're super friendly and don't get in the way when you're lifting but they're ****ty spotters. That's pretty much it.
About me: 26 Straight Male. Lifting for about a year and a half. Got down from 350+lbs to 250 and looking to cut down more. still at about 28% bf so I'm a work in progress but I've been sticking to it. When I'm not lifting I work in computers and I play music or fix up my old mustang.
I attached a picture of my gym. It's my happy place. like I said more equipment to come, as needed.
