Looking to get a new sound system in my truck.
What route shoould i go? Subs in the back or just nicer speakers in the door. Brand, size?
What about a new stereo all together or does that not affect anything. Im clueless.

When i installed a sound system in my car, i changed everything. The front speakers, the rears. Added a sub in the trunk. I guess it's okay to leave the stock speakers in depending on the quality they already give but for me, i would go all out.
Also, i used Alpine.Live. Love. Life.

I have a car and it has 13 speakers in it(front and back) and a 420 watt amp in the trunk, but built in (not visible). The brand is harman kardon and a sub woofer will make it loud and thump, but not necessarily a clear sound if that's what you're going for.
edit: Also 13 speakers. 4 x 41mm tweeters, 7 x 100mm mid-range speakers , 2 x 217mm underseat subwoofers.Last edited by SkitheEast; 11-19-2012 at 07:48 PM.

I bought my truck will the system already installed. It's an 06 sierra with Kenwood. Two amps, 2 10" subs, new radio thing lol. I think it sounds good.
If you can, change everything. Speakers and subs. But if I had to choose one, I'd go subs. This post is Natypes approved.

priority= sub. and get one over 400w cause thats when it bumps. and yea you'll need a sub with a box, an amp, and pay to get it setup unless you know how to do it. my friend has a jl sub hooked up to his ride and it fuarkinnn BUMPS! jl subs are pretty pricey tho, i wouldn't go for one. but yea like the other guy said, go on crutchfield and look up subs. i found one a while ago for $200 ands its a dual sub http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777B24/...2#overview-tab but its up to you what you want. also, if you listen to rap, pm me, i know a buncha songs that hit hard
