Did anybody notice if Agent Zewicki (sp?) was in the crate or was it just Owen? If the agent wasn't there maybe he was the rat that tipped off Luciano who tipped off Maseria.
I can't describe how excited I am to see Chalky interact with Gyp next week. The epicness of that upcoming conversation makes me feel much better about Owen.

Isn't/wasn't Remis, Torio and Capones supplier in Chicago? Maybe with Remis in trouble with the law and Nucky opening up his brewery(or whatever it is) Capone and Torio will be forced to back Nucky?

GYP saved this season.
His character has been the most entertaining by far.

Speaking of Gyp. obviously he's not going to last the season.
As mentioned, his character is too volatile and explosive to continue to thrive.
So who does him in?
The contenders:
His second in command.
Killed his cousin. He sees Gyp as unstable.
Joe Masseria.
Maybe Nuck appeals to Joe's business side, instead of going full gangster. Maybe too much like season 1.
Angela.
Gyp finds himself back in the brothel, acting the fool, **** happens, Ang does him in with her venomous pussay.
Richard.
See above, Angela gets killed, but not before firing Richard for having a life. Richard protects Tommy and ends up doing in Gyp. Harrow already made peace with Nuck about Jimmy earlier this season so maybe they eventually join up. Richard gets his wife and son that he always wanted.
Nucky.
Goes gangster, pulls out Gyp's throat like mortal kombat finisher.
Margaret.
Gyp goes after Nucky, the family get caught in the middle. Like those women who can lift cars when their child is trapped under Margs decimates Gyp in a bloody mess straight out of True Romance. Nucky is there standing with his stupid surprise look on his face.
Margs realizes this is all she has and accepts her fate as a wife of a gangster. Or she dies, cause he character arc just ended.

I thought Nucky told Luciano who then tipped Masseria about Owen and that he was gonna get him. I thought Nucky found out about Owen and Marg and saw a way to get rid of Owen. But he looked genuinely surprised when he saw Marg react so strongly to Owens body so its probably a false theory.
Man I feel bad about Van Alden. He cant even hustle to Norwegians without ending up in trouble. Hopefully something good comes out of this and he ends up working for Capone.
They guy who plays Masseria is ****ing great. Even though he doesn't get much screen time hes one of my favorites. Hes totally believable as the alpha dog. He can even keep Gyp in a leach.
Nucky is probably gonna say yes to Chalkys thing. Hes gonna need them black folks when things get messy.

It was sad to see Owen go, he almost seemed invincible and to see him in a box vulnerable like that felt odd. I did see it coming though.

Gyp seems like that badass motherfukker that can't/won't be killed by another badass but by someone very weak. If anyone remembered watching the Wire. Do you guys remember how Omar (Chalky) died in the liquor store? After all his terrorizing of the streets, he ends up getting blasted by some young fukin child in the liquor store. I think Gyp will meet the same fate by someone we least expect.
Other than that, i agree with the guy a few posts up about who else was in the box with owen. Does anyone have a screen cap? Was the officer in there too?

I watched seasons 1 and 2 like crazy. Every week I was drawn in. I LOVED Jimmy. I guess after his death I lost interest. I watched episode 1 of this season and it was meh...I kept dvring them and watched every episode from this season between yesterday and today. It's got me back hooked.
My thoughts:
Gyp is the fuking man. Seriously. He's hilarious as fuk and fuking crazy. I think he ends up dead really soon though. Sadly another great character gone.
Nucky is a strange character to me. I hate him and I love him. Its an interesting feel I have towards him.
Richard is going to fuk someone up soon and I have a feeling it'll be Jimmy's mom...or maybe Nucky will go to him for help?
Rothstein and Lucky are good characters too and the actors are fantastic.
Chicago is by far the best storyline. I wish they did a spin off and told the whole story...Capone actor is amazing (liked him in Snatch too).
Lastly...I never really liked Owen but seeing him dead in the crate was...upsetting lol. I knew they wouldn't run away together. When they said they were sending him I knew he was going to die. I FUKING HATE MARGARET. SERIOUSLY STOP SHOWING ME HER SCENES. I watched them for the first couple of episodes now I just skip them all together.
As for Owen's death. I hope they don't show it, but I have a feeling of who ratted. Think of who was in the room...Nucky, Owen, Eli, and...Mickey Doyle...Doyle always plays dumb but to cover his as$ I think he ratted Nucky's plan out to New York.
Also Van Alden will join Capone. I have a feeling he will play a part in the St. Valentines Day Massacre.Last year I spent more money on spilled liquor in bars than 99% of miscers make in a year.

Wow, great episode again, disappointed that it was shorter than usual tho but I guess it's good that I wanted more. Def didn't see Capone as being the one that comes thru to Nucky's aid tho.
Nice to see Chalky getting some screentime, would be a move in the right direction to have him move into the fold and become more tight knit with Nucky, he def needs more development and storylines.
Richards getting ready for war, perhaps he's going to try and break Tommy out of Gilians? Hopefully he's not looking to go down in a blaze of glory.
Gyp is great as always, very good scene with him and Chalky tonight.
One more episode to go, I can't wait!
