watch crew, need some help: girlfriend is looking for a fairly cheap (under $200) watch with a dark face so she can see the second hand, numbers rather than Roman numerals, and possibly self charging. Looked at Citizen Exo Drive and saw nothing that would qualify. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

finally some specificity.
I'm not too familiar with women's watches...what might be good for her is to go to jomashop.com and click on the citizen, seiko, victorinox, wenger watches and click on women's, sort pricing and just look for what she likes.
You're also looking for AUTOMATIC movement type, not a quartz. Seiko might be a good bet with your specifications.
I'm not gonna recommend this, but if she's the type that wants what is popular, you'll probably have to look skagen, michael kors, jacobs etc.
Try not to do that though lol.

yo ninja
check these out, personally I would avoid a mechanical, women generally don't place any more value on them and they are more likely to break, more expensive and require more maintenance.
Wow for some reason they love slapping roman numerals on womens watches, this is my preference of what i've seen though.

This will help you shop in the $100-200 range, If you want good value avoid brands like Invicta and any other fashion label.

What do you guys consider too big for a watch before it starts to look stupid? I've got my eye on a 45 mm but not sure yet. I'm 6'6" with a 7.25" wrist so I think it should be fine? Thanks bros.

Currently rocking my graduation present: Seiko Premiere Kinetic (SPB001). This review is what sold me on it. The guy took some amazing shots.
I switch back and forth between the band he shows and a leather band.

Does anyone here have either of these? I can't decide which I like more. I love the one with orange indices/numerals, but the black on white day/date disk kind of kills it... But the white on black dial is a bit too plain... I dunno.

not bad but she needs numbers not Roman numerals. Thanks brah
I appreciate the help guys and MCC brahs:
she cannot use Roman numerals though. Yeah I know they seem to love putting that crap all over watches. Her occupation requires being able to read numbers quickly. Will keep looking.

If she's fullsrs about being able to read numbers quickly, get her onto a flieger. This is a smaller flieger that comes to mind, which might suit the ladies a little better: http://wornandwound.com/2012/02/20/m...ilot-hands-on/

The ocean ate my beater. I need a new one: diver, 43-48mm, sapphire, quartz = great/auto = ok, rubber strap fine, 100-200m water resist, decent>good lume, under $100. I'd LOVE to do cash + my fresh roasted coffee, or supps. I'm considering a Seiko, even though they aren't sapphire. I could always put a sapphire in if the Hardlex scratched (with me, a guarantee).
Anyone?~ Roast Master, Resident Coffee Warlock~
