Question Calories, cardio and weight loss

    Hey, so

I'm 270 lbs 38% bf and intake a maximum 2200 cals using "my fitness pal" iPhone app to count cals.

I do a small amount of weights (20-30 mins) every day and try to get in 2-3 30min Cardio sessions per week

As I work 10 hour days at a very active job as a fitter, as I also live about 45 mins from work I don't get much Cardio in.

    So.

How many cals do you intake every day?

Does your occupation have a major affect weight loss?

Am I doing enough to loose weight?

When it comes to fat loss your diet is the number 1 on your list. Your 38% body fat so you should be able to lose weight very quickly just make sure you are eating at a calorie deficit of 5-700 calories. Lift and do your cardio and just be patient the weight will slowly come off every week just stay consistent and your golden.

Hmm ok, so ive used cal calculators all over the Internet and they say for my weight, height, bf and age I should consume 3700 cals to MAINTAIN my weight, with a deficit of 700 doesn't 3000 cals seem too much?

Not at all Im a 165 pound guy and I cut at 2500 calories. You are almost twice my weight so 3000 is not much at all, considering that you have a very active job I think that 3000 might be too low.

The app I use for counting cals seems to be accurate, just double checked with barcodes ect

As my breakfast and lunch stay exactly the same on weekdays (and have been for the last 4 months even before my diet)

    Eg.

6am - 4 slices of white bread toasted with Vegemite

10 am - 2 sandwiches - slice of fresh ham, cheese and pickle relish

1pm - 2 sandwiches - a slice of fresh ham, cheese and pickle relish

7:30 dinner - healthy home cooked meal
