Here's my problem, when it comes to the weights I couldn't be more motivated to work out, I absolutely love it. Seeing the weight on the bar constantly going up, becoming stronger every week. But my problem is whenever I do cardio I get five minutes in and I just get bored, I hate it. Any tips on how to stay motivated during cardio?

Try to find a form of cardio you actually enjoy participating in. I personally do a lot of hiking, b/c it allows me to be out with my dog, listen to music and it doesn't feel like "cardio". Just a good time outside. I also do 20 minutes on the stairmaster after lifting days, b/c I'm already pumped up and at the gym.
Or try to do something short, interval training possibly. On days where I'm short on time, I'll grab my jumprope and go for about a minute & a half, then 30 seconds rest. And repeat that 15 times.

i had a hard time doing cardio for a while.. used to think that sitting in front of the tvs and just listening to music while i rode the bike was the best way... however i have recently learned otherwise due to my gym offering free memberships to 14-17 year olds... now my gym is pretty busy haha, on cardio days i usually wake up smoke up then hit the gym and sit on the bike that faces all of the free weights.. People watching has turned out to be a great source of entertainment lol. Between girls clearly looking for attention, and chin ups with 1 inch range of motion, everyday there is something new and funny to watch lol.

I'm pretty biased towards cardio, but honestly I look at it as a survival thing. I think its silly to be a jacked body builder who couldnt run a quarter mile to save his life OR save someone else. Of course not all jacked dudes cant run, my time in the military has shown me that, but theres a sad majority who have huge muscles and weak hearts/cardiovascular systems.

i was going to say this. get a bike and just ride for hours man. try new routes everytime. i myself prefer my small little haro dirt track bike from when i was 12 or so. reason being is it gives my legs a better workout than my giant mountain bike with all the dang gears....
gears just make it easier. the point is to exercise right? why not use the harder bike. =)

I know what you mean, I used to feel the same about cardio but here are a few suggestions:
Go on a bike ride and see the world. My friend would look up spots on google maps, and try biking there, or just go somewhere, down a road on her bike she never seen before. It allows you to observe the world more easily, and it is nice and relaxing. She would always bring me to spots, I wasn't much into biking myself, but once I got used to it, the bike rides were fun and worth it, and I loved being able to bike ride up a hill I couldn't when I first started, because it makes me feel stronger. Biking makes the spot even better because you actually put work in to get there.
So try to go on google maps, and find something that may look interesting to bike to.
You could also try something that may interest you, like for me it is swimming and boxing.
Maybe go to a woods or something, and just travel through the woods, because the woods is a mystery, until you take a look around. It helps to have an open mind, because it allows your imagination go wild. Finding Foxes are rare where I live, but once, I found a fox hole, with 6 baby foxes and no mom around. It was very nice to see, and if I hid, it was cool to watch them play. I saw the other end of the fox hole too. It is amazing what you can find there, just be safe obviously.
Kayaking or paddling a canoe can be cardio as long as you keep your heart rate up, it is nice to get out in the water, and see the world, I never traveled by river though, just ocean.
Those are really just suggestions.
Just try to think of something that interests you and turn it into a cardio workout.

I pick 3 out of 5 machines(treadmill, stairmaster, rowing machine, bike, elliptical) for a total of 35min when doing cardio at the gym. I usually have a general idea of which one I want to start with which is usually treadmill or stairmaster, but not deciding which exact 3 until I get to the gym keeps it little more exciting. and doing each for 12 min makes it less boring.
Some days I don't want to be in a crowded gym so I prefer going for a 30min run jug outdoor and, picking a new route, downloading new music usually helps. If I want to get motivated I think about my breathless and breaking sweat after walking up stairs one floor moments and reminds me that cardio is king, at work and in bedroom lol
