Myofusion Lab Results in response to reddit protein test.

Somehow I'm not surprised in the least bit that the misc goes ape sh*t over some numbers on a spreadsheet that some person who they don't know claimed to have done legit testing of a number of protein powders......

if you were told a car does 40mpg and the only reason you wanted a car was good gas mileage so you went ahead and bought it, then later found out it only does 10-20mpg wouldnt you be upset

I bought gaspari before. As well as ON. Stopped buying protein about a year ago.
What i find strange is why there are no third party trully indepentent testers while there is a billion dollar industry. coincidence?
As the company rep notted , i won't be buying any more of that stuff if i don't know what i'm really paying for since the internal quality tests don't really convince me.

The lab results posted are part of our internal quality control for product coming from the manufacturing plant and before it's released to retailers. This is required for cGMP certification and if there are issues with a batch, it lets us catch it before it hits the shelves. To ensure that there is no internal tampering, an outside firm is selected to do the testing. It's in our own best interests that this lab does accurate testing; if there are manufacturing issues, we want to know about it and hold the manufacturing plant accountable. In effect, we are the customers of the manufacturing plant, so we want to make sure we have a quality product. Rich isn't mixing the protein himself in his garage, and we certainly don't have two bins of protein - the "good stuff" we send out for testing and the "bad stuff" for retail.

If you guys want to have an independent lab test random batches from bb.com, gnc, etc; please feel free to do so. If you don't want to use Covance, that's fine too, choose whoever you want. Just make sure it's an accredited lab to perform the testing and that the lab follows proper procedures for chain of custody and testing methods (which the reddit test did not). That's the only way you can be sure of the results in the case where you choose not to believe our lab report. Realistically, even if we had a lab do testing on retail product from bb.com, gnc, etc, because of the fact the lab was hired by us, people would still claim collusion.

Personally I would love to see more active consumer groups that do testing and help to self regulate this industry. People will never 100% fully trust results released by a company, so an independent, unaffiliated 3rd party would help people feel more at ease. More non-profit groups like Consumer Reports, etc would be a great way to help ensure quality across the board. If this reddit test helps get that initiative started, that would be fantastic.

We need to find out how much it would cost. Then we need to have reliable people in charge of holding money to pay to have stuff tested.
Also if these companies are confident in their product they could even front the cost (they just wouldnt know which company is doing the tests or when)

Even as a main supplier of Gaspari in my sup store I still think they are fraudin'.

This report caused PR hell, why wouldn't they respond with a fresh test, with every variable in place such as testing the new batch, with a sample size of over 25.

Why Gaspari would further plunge themselves down the ****ter with past experiements claiming to back up their protein content (the formula has changed since 2011), is beyond me.

So let me get this straight, people have used Myofusion and been happy for it for years. apart from seeing results (for what results protein shake can give you) and now people throwing down their protein powders down the toilet because of One lab test done by some ******* redditor?

So much this, sorry but you guys are idiots. Just because of one lab test done by some guy whose test probably wasn't even done close to perfection from a sample given by another random guy on the internet and people flush down 5lbs of whey and go crazy at the company. On top of that everyone here is always calling others "sheep" for having a different view on something and then this happens, holy fuk misc. And honestly if you attribute your no gains because of two scoops of whey over the years you need to reevaluate your goals and knowledge. The difference is you would have to be a complete retard to not realize that your car is not making the MPG that are advertised. A couple grams of protein a day nobody would ever even notice.

The lab almost certainly did a better test than the Redditor.

But without any relevant information whatsoever, on random sampling of product etc, absolutely, this is completely useless when it comes to displaying quality control, and towards that end, is just as valuable (or just as useless) as the redditors results.
