I posted this in the Olympic section by mistake!!!
As a full trimix and cave diver I know there are benefits to using pure O2 for a work out. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this topic.
I'll reserve my thoughts for a little bit.
PS IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THOSE GIMICKS O2 IN A CAN!! I'm talking about pure medical grade oxygen and used wits a oxygen mask.
Huge difference! You can see 02 being used in any NFL game on the side lines.

You can see the guise at the World's Strongest Man taking that chit after pulling a truck or an airplane. Do they take that chit after a set of squats in the gym I wouldn't think so. For powerlifting/ordinary strongman training, I wouldn't see how this would be of benefit using cost benefit analysis.

no, it isn't, your a-vo2 difference won't change just from increased oxygen in the air
your body will compensate so that you reach a steady PH
when you see fat linemen sucking oxygen on the sideline that is still just 21% O2 79% nitrogen, and that doesn't help either*intentionally sends faux messages to girls on ******** using her name then saying "oops wrong Chelsea" to make it seem like you talk to girls casually crew*

No it not! It's 100% oxygen.
After long decompression dives we go on pure O2 at the surface sometimes got 20-20min. And this is after our fast and slow gas loading tissues are saturated with oxygen from multiple decompression stops using nitorx and pure O2 at 3-5 times the pressure of 1 ATM.
The benefit I see is the time it takes to be ready for another set or catch your breath as some put it.
As for my self I know after a heavy set I just wait to catch my breath and calm down slightly befor I'm ready for another set.

BUT if using a mask to breath 100% oxygen at sea level or any level your body will not and can not turn oxygen into nitrogen. Over time you will saturate you tissues with oxygen and you will see signs of oxygen toxicity.
I may have Misinterpreted you post?

the oxyhaemoglobin dissociation curve is very interesting and comes up often on long decompression dives. Take a look at the curve and the look at the numbers for a partial pressure at 1 ATM.
You also have to figure in the correct amount of oxygen for what ever mix you breatheing in, trimix, nitorx or heliox.
