I work twice a week part time at McDonald's as I'm still in college, should I feel guilty for eating a bagel with egg on when I'm working? (free food) it's only the bagel and the egg, that's it. It's liquid egg and made with a small amount of butter.
Should I avoid at all costs and go home to eat?

1.) No food items are inherently healthy or unhealthy.
2.) The fact that something comes from McDonald's does not make it magically deleterious to your health. It is the name of a fast food chain and nothing more.
3.) Why on earth would it be detrimental to eat an egg on a bagel?
4.) As long as it fits within your macros, it is fine.

1. if it fits your macros man! if it fits your macros.
eat it! especially if it's free. twice a week
won't kill you
2. if you work kitchen, order packing, stock aranging or any other role which doesn't see you stood in one spot or say down. you're guna do a whole lot of walking.
I volunteered for an apprenticeship when I worked there. they made me wear a ****meter for one of my projects. 14000 steps in one shift! that was on a close and we were understaffed. but still. 10 miles or something. that's a looooooad of calories
3. i lost about 50lbs whilst working at McDonald's. 70+ hours a week. eating there 3 times a day, 6 days a week.
I felt s***. my sodium intake was probably enough to make any medical professional scream like a girl. I was constantly thirsty. but it fit my pcf ratio.
actually, at one point. I knew the exact nutritional values for almost every item on the menu. and i calculated the breakdown ingredients. eg- one burger patty was about 110 cals. ketchup+mustard about 50.
the bottom line is. it depends what your goals are. if the macros fit eat it.
if your goal is to lower your sodium intake, eat unprocessed food or simply not to eat fast food- then I guess count it as your cheat mealLast edited by THElabCHIMP; 05-20-2012 at 07:56 AM.
