stfu. u wouldnt know. theres a combination of skills that can work against any other classes or monsters better. each of those classes have their strength and weakness.

demon hunter solely focuses on ranged attacks and traps.

and this game is more about teamwork, not solo effort. especially entering hell and inferno

did you even play DH? DH is pure rape with good items. Smoke screen makes you invulnerable to damage, you can have 75 discipline with items, super high single target d p s (why is this word blanked out?), plus you can rune smoke screen to have toxic gas which is amazingly good.

Demon Hunter is probably far and away the most powerful class right now because of smoke screen.

not bad bro, no cooldown=healing system pretty much and combine with gloom rune=65% dmg reduce

WW barb yeah, Zeal..meh. Smiter will 2-3 shot zealots no problem. WW barbs are a challenge tho.

Considering they showed probably most of the WORST DH skills in that video and left out the great ones, you couldn't tell if DH would be OP or not from that video, but had you played the class even for a second you'd realize their combination of ranged damage output and their movement ability will make them EXTREMELY competitive against other classes. I would say they're probably top tier in terms of solo ability over any other.

Lol, how can you make such a statement, when you haven't experienced anything past the equilevant of Blood Raven in terms of gameplay?

It is impossible to say how balance will play out later in the game, because we don't even know what kind of monsters we are facing, what type of bosses, and what kind of gear. Speculation is pretty pointless at this point.

-when you die, you need to pay gold for repairs


in non hardcore inferno, you get all the same difficulty, items,etc that would in hardcore, just death is not permanent

correct as far as we know, there may be hardcore only items like ladder only (who knows?)
also it should be mentioned that hardcore does not support the real money auction house

Your char's name is painted red in hardcore mode. At least it was in D2.

DH was the first class I played before open beta and they are not good at all. The only class they outperform in the beta would be wizards. I dont give a fuk about other classes, I said pve not pvp

The games are identical in all ways in Normal & Hardcore. The only difference is permanent death in Hardcore. You will get all the same items, gold amounts, etc.

How long since you've played the DH? They were VERY weak in early beta, but during the open last week, there is no way a WD out***'d a DH at level 13.

So is there any good reason to play hardcore besides bragging rights? I was under the impression that certain items could only be found on a hardcore run.

Bragging rights, also having to play a completely different style, you can't just run into big mobs etc.

No real money auction house in Hardcore, so you don't have rich kids crying to mommy to buy them all the best stuff. You have to work for your items and gold to buy them in game.

not true at all. I played with someone who had the right gear and was absolutely annihilating everything. You people saying DH's suck are sooooooooo clueless. They have more control than any other class and more escapes than any other class...
