    That 450 was solid!! You made those other warm up attempts...look like warm up attempts!! I'd say you've surpassed your 424 comp bench at this point. Heck, with an extra 10% for adrenaline, you might be looking at 470 or higher in a meet setting! Good job bro!

    benched 400 about a month ago

    I benched 400 about a month ago. Just wondering if it would be worth scheduling a video. I don't know how much everybody is doing. 39 yrs old 258 lbs I did arms and chest today so it would have to be later in the week.

    As i get older I am realizing i have to get while the gettings good. I can put stats and PR's up here all day long. But, the main concepts with my workouts....

    A 400# bench is outstanding, walk into most commercial gyms and you will find 400# towards the top of the heap. These threads have little to do with winning and everything to do with challenging and bettering yourself. Post the video.

    Mixed chest and back today. Really jyst flat and pull ups. Superset... After each bench set did 10 solid pullups.

    Now just messing around with 225 on inclune and more pullups. This is my kind of workout.
    As i get older I am realizing i have to get while the gettings good. I can put stats and PR's up here all day long. But, the main concepts with my workouts....

    I put up 245 x 2 today. I've been lifting again since mid-Feb, missed 2 weeks in March with my head cold. It ain't 420, but I'm pretty happy about it. My max previous was 265 when I was younger in my 20s. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten it up 4 times but I'm working out at home with no spotter. I'm hoping to hit 315 by the end of summer.

    I'm trying to go heavy and push on. In the past I've been a bit scared of going up and taking on big weight, sticking to lower weight and more reps. I try to just push through and go forward now with every workout.

    Started training about 5 weeks ago, 225 x 2 was my best then, last night hit 275 x2. Nowhere near a lot of you but I'll get there. when I started 275 x 1 was my goal before 5/1 so pretty pleased with myself. new goal is 300 x1 by 6/1

    Got 255 * 3 tonight. Started April at 205 * 8.

    I did take a video of me getting 250 up 4 times, but I have no idea how to put it on the board. I started out with 250, and it wasn't too bad so I went up to 255. The video for that screwed up.

    Where are the 160# guys?

    I worked chest yesterday. I have been injured since last August and, while I'm happy that I can still bench 225#, it isn't even close to where I used to be. Oh, well.
