Here's the story:
-Come home from uni
-Mom tells me she filed for divorce against my dad
-She's a stay at home mom that hasn't worked for 20 years
-Wants to finish up her degree and get hired at a law firm with no working experience at age 50 (LOL!)
-Meanwhile she demands spousal support from my dad while she gets her **** together while she refuses to work a "menial" job (like retail, etc.)
-I call her out and tell her she's not entitled to leech money that my dad works for after she's not even married to him anymore
-She says she "deserves" compensation for raising me and choosing to homeschool me since I was 7 instead of pursuing her career and making money
(homeschooling me comprised of her sitting on her computer shopping online while I watched school videos on my computer that my dad was paying for/she'd come to check on me every couple of hours)
-I tell her that if she's filing for divorce she should have had the foresight not to homeschool me and get a job, or work a random job and get some money together BEFORE filing for divorce
-She tells me she refuses to work at some random "menial" job and my dad should give her money to support her.
-I'm disowning her if she tries
What do misc? Should I testify against her in court (idk if I'll have the heart to do that) or just say nothing and be neutral?
What a ****ing horrible day.

spousal support is stupid ****.
brb because a woman is "used to" the comforts and such provided by leeching off her husband, she should still be entitled to them after they're split. Yeah, totally makes sense.Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Your mother clearly should get no support, as she did an obviously horrible job raising you.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that women don't think logically like men do. Emotionally, this actually makes sense to her
and it isn't really her fault. Women will be women, nobody should be surprised by this kind of behavior anymore.
Don't get married and then act shocked when this kind of **** happens to you.

Nothing you say or do can change the fact that legally she is entitled to spousal support. You can try convincing her otherwise, but legally there isn't a thing you can do. Cheers to our female centric legal system.
I really want to see the day where more and more women become the breadwinners in the house, and have to pay MEN after they get a divorce and give up half their ****. Something tells me they won't like it very much.

She'll get it too. Trust me I know. The court will base her monthly support on the delta between what your mom could earn based on her training and level of experience and what your dad earns.
My ex was a stay at home mom for 20 years = $2500 a month from my paycheck every month. Feelsbadman.jpeg
You'll have no say in the matter.Last edited by larryinpa; 04-27-2012 at 03:03 PM.
