    fat loss slowing down, help?

I will try and keep this brief but detailed. I am dedicated to achieving my goals and will stop at nothing.

I am 27 years old, 6'2 and weigh 220 (currently). I formerly weighed 240 in Jan. This was in part to not drinking sodas, and eating much healthier. Not to mention I'm much more active now. I used to just skateboard but that doesn't make you lose weight I've found

Here is what I'm doing now..

    3-4x a week I walk/jog 3.5 miles. I usually walk/jog 3.5 miles in 40-50 minutes.

here is a log of what I've been doing on my total gym on LEVEL 5.

    4/16/12
    walked 4 miles
    curls 18, 15, 9, 9 level 5
    situps 15. 18, 11, 11, 14

    4/17/12
    curls 18,15, 12, 12, 13

    4/18/12
jogged 1 mi, walked 1 mi (2 miles)
    curls 15, 18, 12, 10,10
    situps 15,18, 14, 14, 20

    4/19
    curls 16, 20, 14, 14, 16
    sit ups 17, 20, 14, 14, 20

    4/20
    situps 17, 20, 14

    4/23
    curls 20, 18, 15, 15, 20

    4/25
    curl...20,20,16, 16,16,24
    shoulder exten... 20, 12, 7, 10
    seated row (back) 25,30, 20, 20, 26
    curl 14, 10, 12, 12, 10

MY PLAN/GOAL: I'm honestly looking to get to 200lbs...which doesnt seem that hard to achieve since I've lost 20 lbs in 3 months. However, I seem to be stuck around the 220 mark. It would be great to be down to 185. If I continue on this path do you think I'd meet this goal? As you can tell on 4/25 I started doing more workouts, such as the seated curl, shoulder extension, seated row so I feel this will work my shoulders, back, and biceps. I didnt want to just focus on biceps because that would be pointless.

I am going to walk/light jog 3.5-4 miles 4x a week. maybe 5 if I am able to. My question is what will make me lose fat more? I have whey protein but i hear that makes you fatter?

You need to read up and get a basic understanding of nutrition.

Anything that contains calories will make you fatter if you consume a surplus of it. It doesn't matter if it's whey, chicken, cabbage or whatever. Stay within your calorie limit and you can eat and drink anything.

Maybe add a few more curls? Haha. Calorie deficit and lift heavy with compound exercises.

Yeah man, that routine is a complete waste of time. You want big movements involving lots of muscle, not little movements working small muscles.

And check out all the stickied threads in the fat loss and nutrition sections, they'll point you in the right direction and clear up some misconceptions.

You have to focus on your FOOD and NUTRITION. That's super, super IMPORTANT. MIGHT AS WELL NOT EVEN GO TO THE GYM AND WORK OUT IF YOUR NUTRITION IS NOT INTACT...Consistency. Stay with it. You HAVE TO do this day in, day out. It becomes a LIFESTYLE. -Jay Cutler

For a 6'2 27 year old, you should be able to jog 3 miles in at a minimum 30 min.
