you have absolutely no idea what you would have done because it is a split-second life or death decision
and in this case, what the hell would you have done? theyre going highway speeds and you think you can just swerve and hit the brakes? what would you swerve into, the cement barrier on your left or the semitruck on your right?
brb 60mph and need to slam brakes to avoid crash
brb car swerves perfectly and keeps traction
brb i keep perfect control of a 4,000lb vehicle undergoing extreme movements at highway speeds
brb no such thing as body roll
brb no such thing as oversteer
brb no such thing as inertia
thanks captain retrospect, for your perfect play-by-play on what YOU would have done so much better than everyone else

This reminds me of an incident when I was young.
I was in the car with my family, Father driving, Mother in front seat, sister and I in back. We were driving behind a truck. A large chunk of metal about 1.5 metres long fell from the truck and in less than a second my dad swerved to avoid it. Not sure what damage it would have done, we were on a motorway though (highway) and driving at 70 mph so it would have smashed the windscreen and done lots of damage, possibly killing the parents, maybe I would have been safe as I was in the back. If he hadn't swerved though, it would have collided directly with the windscreen.

lol at every ****ty ass driver ITT claiming there was no way to avoid that accident
You can see the ****ing car that causes the accident veering to the wrong side of the freeway 5 seconds before the accident and it takes place right at a freeway intersection where you should be on full alert for any kind of idiotic hazard.
If you're worth a **** as a driver you should not end up in the accident as the trailing car in that situation.

Wow, I'm starting to see that the misc is just repost from reddit. Literally every other thread is just someone that saw something on reddit, like this video, then posted it in hopes of getting reps.
Also, the driver that was filming and his partner survived, the man in the truck survived. The 3 people in the white car all died.R.I.P Miscimus - 12/9/09.
